    Speaker sounds good but can be challenging to set up. The single on/off/Bluetooth pairing button can cause it to be difficult to switch devices.

    One Great Side speaker

    We bought the Roam as a side speaker for my wife who has some hearing loss. This is one great speaker for that purpose. My wife absolutely loves this speaker, she can hear the words that are being said and even the soft voices.

    Sounds great, but here's what it can't do: 1. Can't use Google or Alexa over. bluetooth 2. Can't create a stereo pair over bluetooth 3. Can't make or receive voice calls Here's what mine won't do: 1. Won't let me add Alexa 2. Won't stay connected over wi-fi If you want to pay more to get less features for sound quality alone, this may suit your needs. Otherwise, there are other speakers that do more for less.

    I enjoy the quality of the sound from these speakers compared to the Amazon “Dot” they replaced. The flexibility to group speakers in different rooms is very enjoyable whether listening to ITunes, Pandora or even the audio from TV through the SONOS Arc.

    Sound is a little to heavy on the base for me. Works OK with Google home, but not great.

    This is a must for any existing Sonos owner and excellent starting speaker for those who are just discovering Sonos! I was on the fence about buying this speaker because I don't usually need a portable speaker, but I am sure glad that I took the plunge! I use it every day!

    Was super excited to use this … but when I got it (I purchased and open box and had it delivered) the battery didn’t seem to hold a charge. Tried to follow instructions to factory reset and that wouldn’t work. Took it back to local Best Buy store and asked the Geek Squad if I was doing something wrong .. they tried it as well and got the same outcome. They accepted the return graciously as “defective”. I guess I will have to try and “UnOpened” box one …

    Bose Soundlink Mini provides way better sound for the price. The Roam didn't even come with a charger and the app is super clunky I had to reset it multiple times for it to find Wifi in different areas...which is a huge process. The tap pairing never worked with my iPhone 12. The charge doesn't last as long as the Bose product. It also does not come with instructions. Over all good design but for the price I was expecting way more. I will be returning.

    The sound is great for such a small speaker. However this speaker requires the Sonos 2 app and one piece of my sonos system needed an upgrade so I could use my system on Sonos2 app. I did choose to upgrade my two amps but they were backordered for months. So now have to use speaker standalone until new pieces come in to upgrade entire system. Sonos created the problem to require you upgrade pieces that were working perfectly.

    Good sound, but the battery makes it nearly unusable. Battery is draining 25%-30% per day when in standby mode. I’m getting about 3 hours of playback on Bluetooth before it’s dead. Maybe something that can be fixed with software, but I’m not interested in being Sonos’s beta tester so it’s going back.

Here are a few tips to help preserve Roam's battery life: make sure you are powering down when not in use (hold power button full 5 seconds), disable any voice assistants when not plugged in, and ensure that you are charging with a 7.5W or higher charger.     Amazing sounding speaker for its tiny compact size. Highly recommend adjusting the sound setting for this speaker in the SONOS app to get the true quality you want. Makes all the difference as most things at default are ever truly optimized.

    Love my new Sonos Roam! Size is perfect, not too heavy or too light. Easy bluetooth connectivity or use as part of your Sonos system. Super convenient for on the road listening. Battery life seems as advertised. Highly recommend this compact speaker

    This is my 16th Sonos product (Arc, Play Bar, Sub, Amp, 2 3’s and 9 0nes). Sound quality, design, multiple ways to use them, all playing from the same song or everyone playing a different. And it’s all controlled from my phone or tablet.

    The Roam delivers fantastic audio for its size and offers an insane amount of versatility when compared to competition. Once setup, it can be placed anywhere in the house and charged wirelessly with any Qi charger. It's just such a fantastic device to have around.

    Love, love, love! My favorite Christmas present. It's such a powerful speaker for it's small size! I got it for my office/craft room, but I've taken it outside for a neighborhood party and it works great. Battery life seems as advertised.

    I love the Sonos system I have used it for years this is the perfect addition to my set. If you are thinking on getting this speaker I strongly recommend it you will not be disappointed. Battery life is great and it sounds amazing. I take it everywhere I go.

    I love the sound, really, it’s great! I have 8 echo devices, I understand Bluetooth as WiFi… so please don’t think I am just an idiot struggling with technology. Today while golfing it took 4 holes to even get the speaker to connect. The app is horrible and the speaker lights are confusing, although the define the light configuration online. If you plan to use this speaker around the house on one network, you will probably be fine. But I take it golfing, to hotels, to the pool and it NEVER connects in less than 10 minutes. Today I restarted my phone because I just couldn’t understand, it said it was playing, said it was connected but no sound (yes, volume was up!). The other thing that sucks is that it will not charge with the USB port in my truck or a golf cart. So I bought a portable power bank that will charge it but no other cords or chargers work. Just the one cord that came with the speaker. I have tried usb-c and A and wireless pads but literally nothing works. I hate this speaker and I hate to say it!
