First off, the sound is GREAT! But it’s even more impressive that it produces such great sound given its size. Highly recommend.

A good but not great speaker. The value hear is the integration with the SONOS ecosystem. Works as it should, but some battery drain issues. Sound quality is good. Works well for outdoor music on the patio for a group of 4. Updates will sure to make it better and streaming over WiFi allows for HD audio.

I use a pair of these configured as stereo pair, used in a small working space. I like how much depth of stereo sound I get from devices with such a small footprint on my desk (one to each side of a largish computer monitor). The limitations are more due to being confined to the Sonos-sphere. Periodically I need to reestablish the pair to work in stereo, done through a smartphone app. The selection of content that can be played through the speakers is limited to applications (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music) known to the Sonos application, and the interface the Sonos application gives you to that source. I principally use Spotify and Apple Music as sources and through the Sonos application do not have the same flexibility in searching and selection as I do with those applications used natively. For example, using Apple Music directly on my computer I can select 'Browse' or 'Apple Radio' and from these play content on my computer speakers but not Sonos. The Sonos application's interface for Apple Music does not give access to either of these sources.

Great sound from such a small speaker and easy to carry around

I'll preface this with the fact that when I first got it, there were definitely issues, namely insane battery drain even on standby. However, a recent firmware update has fixed it. This is an amazing little speaker. The sound that comes from the little guy really is impressive considering the size. The addition of bluetooth capability, IP67 waterproofing (so I can listen in the shower) and wireless charging really make this Sonos' most versatile speaker yet!

The sound is very high quality and far exceeded my expectations. It is also very light, and portable, yet sturdy and really well finished — it looks and feels like a high-end product. The only weaknesses are that a charge doesn’t last more than a few hours and Bluetooth connection is a bit finicky.

One of the worst portable speakers I've ever owned. Maybe I have a defective one? List of pros and cons below, I wouldn't buy this again. Cons: The bass is fuzzy. The battery life is incredibly bad. A couple hours of listening and it needs a recharge. By the way, trying to play music while it recharges from a low level is impossible. I also had a two-month period when the speaker would not charge or power on. It is also incredibly difficult to connect new bluetooth devices. I've had many small gatherings where people have given up trying to connect to play music. Even as I write, the darn thing is flashing a red light for the first time, which I've googled is a "fault condition." Geez this thing is horrible. Pros: very portable and seemingly durable. Solid performing wireless speaker which blends in well with one's SONOS ecosystem. I like the form factor and the punch of the sound, I wish the battery life was a little better but that might be just noticeable to me because I am using it so much ! Pairs well with wifi and bluetooth.

I have a full Sonos surround system for my home theater, and I LOVE it so when I was looking for portables, I knew who I wanted to go with. This piece made my 4 day road trip a breeze! It says to have a 10 hour battery life, and with it's automatic shutoff after no input, it lasted a solid 14 hours every day I used it with quite a bit of battery remaining. Good quality audio, and it fits in a water bottle holder! I want to buy a second soon to surround sound my car.

SONOS delivers again! I love SONOS products and the SONOS ROAM does not disappoint. The set up was super easy and it connects to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I just received the product today and I am very happy with the ROAM. I will probably end up getting the SONOS MOVE at some point, but I am stoked to be able to have a wireless SONOS product literally in my shower. I love listening to books or music when I shower and the sound is stellar!

We have this little speaker plugged in all the time in our kitchen. It sounds super full, and the clarity of Sonos products is super awesome. We love that it connects via wifi so we can always access it. We haven't connected it to any smart home products, but we plan to in the future.

This has been a great addition to my Sonos. The sound is great for such a small speaker and I love that I can take it anywhere.

Great sound. Bluetooth makes it very portable and easy to move around the house.

The Roam is a great speaker. Sounds like a speaker that is twice the size. Portable and works perfectly with the Sonos app over WiFi and with Bluetooth with iPhone and iPad and Mac. It switches back and forth automatically when you are in range of your WiFi and Bluetooth when you are not. A perfect stand alone carry around speaker. Charges quickly with the enclosed cable. Also discovered it charges wirelessly with my iPhone charger. What’s not to like?
