Sound quality is very good. Very portable. Battery life isn't very long though.

Sonos has always made good speakers and this is an excellent portable speaker that they have included to their product line. Have used it camping, beach and in the back yard.

I love Sonos so I was excited to add this for the house to move around with. The sound is great and the features you love with Sonos are in it. The downside is it forgets its network a lot and the battery doesn't last too long. Only buy if adding to Sonos system. Otherwise buy a good bluetooth...

I really was surprised with the sound for the size of this thing. Connectivity is great with bluetooth but sometimes I have trouble on wifi (could be user error).

After extensive research I decided on the Sonos Roam for a portable bluetooth speaker. Unfortunately, it seemed like it was backordered everywhere since it was released two months ago. While checking BB's website I saw there were open box - excellent condition units available. I've bought open box items before, so I was comfortable doing so. The unit arrived in three days, and other than the package seals being cut it appeared brand new. Setup was easy, and the sound is amazing for such a little speaker. While it is one of the more expensive speakers available, it is definitely worth every penny.

I like it…sound is great just did not know you had to purchase the sound bar for optimal performance. No biggie got that too!

I use my roam every day, music quality is great, bass could be a little better.

The sound is good quality for a portable speaker, but not as loud as I expected based on the price. Also the battery life is much shorter than advertised (3-4 hours of play time) and there seem to be software issues where it cuts off without warning. I think we would have been better off saving up to much a Move.

We have the move too, but for the price and quality of sound, its a really good speaker. We alsp bought it with the google home integration and it works really well.

Wish the battery lasted longer. Ties into home sonos well and good sound.

Provides great sound all around the house. Nice boost to the current networked speakers or just nice to have with you in one room listening on your own. Powers itself down when not in use.

Big, full sound you'd expect from Sonos. Was about to purchase a Bose Micro because of the sound quality, and the convenient strap on the back, but then Sonos announced the Roam. We have a Sonos ecosystem in our house already so ultimately decided to try the Roam out instead. I wish it had a way to attach to bags like the Bose, but I'll figure something out on my own. The sound is as you'd expect. You can connect to your Sonos system already in place, or via bluetooth and AirPlay when on the go. Haven't tested battery life yet. But I imagine this will travel with us where ever we go.

Phenomenal sound. Works well as both Bluetooth and air play speaker. Battery life is nothing special, but wireless charging makes it easy to keep it charged.

This is by far the 'weakest' of the SONOS lineup and it shows when comparing it to a ONE/ PLAY:1. My intent was to use this as an outdoor speaker for a covered area. While it does the job I intended, I need to significantly increase its volume to hit the desired level (for comparison it took 75-80% to hit the level of what 45-50% would hit on a ONE). It lacks bass and 'punch' compared to other more affordable bluetooth speakers. This must be forgiven, however, as you're killing 2 birds with one stone. You get a 'roaming' SONOS speaker within your existing SONOS ecosystem with the added benefit of being able to take it with you on trips. I haven't tested the full longevity of the battery life, but from my readings, it does the job so long as you're not looking for it to go an entire weekend on a single charge. To me, this speaker is better pitted at the $100-$125 range (I got it on sale at $140). SONOS now has an SL version which is a little cheaper that I would quicker recommend provided you do not need the voice control functionality.

Unbelievably great sound, surprising nice bass and highs ; portable; ideal for an office or small room. The bluetooth feature was a little tricky setting up, but once I got it going, I am very pleased with the product and purchase . I would highly recommend it. Would have given it a 5 star but setup could have been smoother.

This speaker is feature rich and the sound is absolutely amazing for a speaker of this size. If you want a speaker that sounds like the Bose mini, the JBL flip or UE boom go buy one of those cause this ain’t it. The clarity of the highs and mids sounds awesome.

Definitely the best portable speaker I've used for a good combination of price, sound quality, size/weight and functions. I specifically wanted a portable speaker that would work on wifi when at home because the connectivity is just so much easier. This fits the bill perfectly. Have to be diligent about the power standby vs. power off, have come to find a dead battery once in a while which is pretty terrible when you're expecting to have sound. But, that's a minor issue overall that just requires a little extra diligence to be sure you don't leave it on and draining.

Sound quality is great, bass is lacking. Features and functions are excellent. Battery life is not great, but with wifi running, that’s to be expected. One weird quirk is that it turns itself on under conditions I have not yet figured out. Turning it completely off takes a 5 second long press of the power button, but seems to wake itself when you go into the app.

Great little speaker if you have sonos. Otherwise not worth it.
