Disappointed

It's constantly offline or completely disconnecting. I've read through many Q and A's to troubleshoot and I can get it working, but I wish I had just tried a different Sonos speaker.

Sonos Roam S2 use only!!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In order for this to work as advertised you must have S2 (newest Sonos system) and this will not work with S1 or original Sonos systems that have been owned and working for 8+ years. The bluetooth feature also does not work and will be returned to Best Buy after pre-ordering and waiting for 30+ days. Disappointed with Sonos and their support of S1/S2 systems and users.

Posted .Hi, and thank you for taking the time to review the Sonos Roam. When S2 was launched over a year ago, we announced that all future products going forward will be only S2 compatible. This included Sonos Roam, and every other product we make going forward. We still support our S1 platform for security patches and bug fixes, but unfortunately, we had to move on as the older hardware and software limitations would have kept us from innovating. Sort of like expecting your phone from 16 years ago to run the software made for your newest phone.
If it's only been 8 years that you've been a Sonos customer (thank you so much for that) chances are probably all or at least most of the products you own are S2 compatible, and a simple update would fix that. Find out more info here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4786?language=en_US
As far as the bluetooth functionality, you just have to hold the button down for 3 seconds to put it into bluetooth pairing mode.

I have had SO MANY ISSUES with connectivity as well as the speaker just 'giving up' and turning off. I finally got through to the warranty department who advised they would replace it.

Not worth the money

Posted .Hi, and thank you for taking the time to write a review. Roam by default goes into sleep mode which it can easily be woken up from for faster time to music. If you want to make sure Roam is turned completely off, hold the button on the back down for 5 seconds. This will make sure that Roam is off and ready to be used next time you're ready to listen to some tunes.

Not overly impressed

The Roam doesn't give off sound and bass as good as the Bose Soundlink.

SONOS support leaves you with clues no clear fix. Will be returning and trying again I like the Oontz from A_Z more bass louder

Disappointing Sonos Roam

I decided to switch from a Bose so I could pair it with my other Sonos speakers. Which have all worked great. The roam continuely drains battery at a high speed, it definitely does not last the length that Sonos advertises. It also has pairing issues. I am happy with my other Sonos speakers but very disappointed in the Roam.
