I was really pumped when I purchased this speaker bc Sonos is such a great brand. I went through 3 of these trying to get one that would work. Wasted hours of my life trying to problem solve. Sounds like the issues I was experiencing are known for this particular speaker. I ended up getting a Bose speaker that was incredibly easy to set-up.

Setting it up is a nightmare. Bose is so much easier. Sound is good when it works.

Device won’t function without somos app which from reviews on App Store is a pretty poor user experience.

Very disappointed, was so looking forward to it! I don’t know if it was because it was refurbished or what, but every time I want to use it. I have to go through this while process of it connecting it, from resetting it, to charging it when it has even been used for long, not sure what do or am I doing something wrong! Can anyone help!

Sound so not very loud and it’s difficult to connect to your phone to play music

Disappointing to find this does NOT integrate with the rest of my Sonus network. Taking both these I purchased and returning. Do NOT buying this product is you have a Sonus network running the S1 app and integrating with Sonus Connect: AMP, ZP80, ZP90, ZP100 or ZP120 devices. So disappointing.

After reading the many positive reviews, I don’t know what they’re listening to. The sound is totally underwhelming at it’s highest volume. Returning after only using for two days. Trying Bose next, which has always been my go to anyway. Don’t buy!

Speaker is a piece of crap. I thought since I had the surround sound at my home it would have the same quality. Not!! Pass my return time so I’m looking into the warranty

This little speaker actually has pretty big sound. If you have a ny Sonos speakers currently and love how they sound, you won't be disappointed with this. However, you probably will be disappointed with the battery life. If you want this to be ready to use, make sure you turn it off. Do not rely on the "up to 10 days of battery life" because that's only accurate if you turn it off. While they say it has a sleep mode, if you have a Sonos system or speakers already, or even if you don't, the battery will die within 24 hours without any use. The reason is that anytime you even open the Sonos app, the speaker comes out of sleep mode. I tested this for a week and spoke with Sonos CS reps about it and hopefully this is fixed with a software update at some point, but until then, don't expect to be able to use this on battery power alone the next day because you only used it for an hour and it shows 90% battery life remaining unless you turn off the power. Try it for yourself and see. It really is a great portable speaker and I'm sure Sonos will rectify this at some point, but it's just not quite ready until they do.

Disappointed. I have many sonos products and am very pleased with them all but the sound of the roam is by far their least impressive model. Jbl makes the best sound for a portable Bluetooth speaker.

Im not sure how this speaker has positive reviews. The sound is underwhelming and honestly its a horrible value, there are way better speakers out there at this price point. Was really hoping for more.

It stated easy setup. Spent over an hour trying to connect to blue tooth, based on what I have read on the web this is a common issue with this product. Retuning today.

The speaker is very small, very portable, and looks and sounds fantastic. When played at normal volumes it doesn't sound much different from the play 1 speakers, although at higher volumes this is not the case. And the bass (and overall sound) is far superior to any other speaker of a similar size I have tried. Really the only downside to the Roam is that it is on the expensive side and doesn't come with the charring base like the Move does.

The Sonos Roam is a good portable speaker and integrated well with my existing Sonos home speakers. As a stand alone it provides excellent sound quality but will not blow you away on how loud it can get. For its size, it’s pretty loud. The design is good and makes traveling with easy, thus far it has proven to be durable at the beach, tailgating and backyard shenanigans.

Very poor wifi service compatibility. Alexa sucks in this thing. It won’t sync well with my music app.

This unit would not connect to either of our phones or the TV we intended to use it with so we returned it. Maybe we'll buy another, maybe not.

Worse product ever. Won’t stay connected. It will tell you to power off to connect, there is no power button.

The speaker did not work. I was very disappointed as this was a Christmas gift for my husband.

I am Sonos fanboy and I am always trying out their newest products and I jumped on the Sonos Move and I was quick to jump on this speaker as well. It is tiny and has all the Sonos functionality and sound and has all the same controls as the Move, touch controls, etc and Alexa functionality as well. The only thing this is missing is a charging base which I was a little surprised at and would of preferred instead of a cord with USB which is a bit awkward. Other than that, great sound and a great design as with any Sonos product. I love it!
