Used this a few times now (some indoor and some outdoor). The speaker is small and fairly light and so it's super easy to carry around and to take anywhere. The sound quality is very impressive for its size and does an amazing job of adjusting its acoustics to your surroundings. The speaker setup is super easy (especially if you're already a part of the Sonos ecosystem) and pairing the speaker to Bluetooth is fairly easy. The only issue is that it's not that powerful and so for a large outdoor area, the Roam will only cover a modest area with sound (e.g., used the Roam at a hot tub in a general hotel pool area, and the Roam covered the hot tub area but not much farther than that, which worked for us, but if you're looking for something more, then you'll need to get a 2nd Roam or a different speaker). Indoors, the Roam should do well enough in a small bedroom or bathroom. I'm trying careful to not drop or scratch it, so no comment on its durability.

These are my first Sonos speakers and I like them a lot. They sound good individually, but sound great when paired together. I use them mainly at home over airplay. I do have to occasionally remove and re-add them to the system when they start to cut out. Power cycling doesn’t do it, they need to be removed and re-paired. I keep them on wireless charging pads I bought for less than $10 rather than the outrageously expensive sonos ones. I bring one in the shower every day. Btw, if you aren’t listening to music in the shower, what are you even doing? The battery lasts quite a while in Bluetooth and it’s easy to switch Bluetooth on and the light changes to blue so you know. The assistant (I’ve used google and sonos) works well for simple pause, play, volume commands, but I didn’t have much luck with playing specific songs. But that’s not exclusive to these speakers. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a song to play with a voice command anywhere. If I were to buy these again, I’d save a little money and get the SL without the assistant.

Great speaker! Sound is great! Perfect size. Set up was a breeze! The only thing is the charging. I had to order a specific adapter because my phone adapter wouldn’t charge it. So keep that In mind when u buy. They make a charging pad but it was back ordered for 2 months

Love this thing! As soon as the pre-order was made available I had to get it. At first it was based on the branding and I’ve since switched over from Bose and Apple speaker products to all Sonos within the past year. For something this size it’s perfect for mobilization to and from wherever I need to go for work and play. I used to have a Marshall Emberton and that too was an amazing speaker for a bit less than this Sonos. If I didn’t switch everything over to Sonos I definitely would have kept that Emberton as it did have more bass than this Sonos. However, the clarity in the Sonos is better overall. I have the Sonos Move also and as much as I love that thing it was just too heavy and awkward to travel with (which is why I bought the Emberton). I’m very happy with the Sonos Roam as it not only completes my audio ecosystem’s brand, but because it does sound really good for something so or portably small.

This is the perfect complement to my Sonos system. Other portables just didn't have the power that this does. Also the ease of use, the more than competitive price and -- I must admit -- the sleek design.

great sound from a little product. Although this speaker is the lowest of sound quality among the three other major speakers in the Sonos line, I promise you will not be displeased. I use this for poolside listening or while in the bathroom and shower due to its high waterproof rating. The sound output is OUTSTANDING. Full bass and fully immersive sound experience from one little device. Both the WiFI (Sonos) and Bluetooth connections are seamless. I purchased the Qi-based charging stand from Sonos (as Best Buy doesn't seem to sell it) for an extra 'ease of use' bonus. Great speaker, great technology especially as you can use this as a BT gateway into your Sonos system. Remarkable although not a lot of documentation supporting so seek that info out via YouTube or discussion boards. Best of all is the reasonable price especially when compared to the other Sonos speakers available.

Sound is as promised very good and the portability of can't be beat. The batter life is pretty low. I can charge it- play it only for about 30 minutes a night and it won't last more than three days before I need to charge again. Seems like it drains the battery even when off. One last issue- is that with Alexa- it does not respond to certain apps. It will open them- Sleep Sounds- but won't play anything. My Sonos Beam does the same thing. But overall, good sound- and decent enough. Unsure if totally worth it it for the price.

I think the Sonos Move has much better sound quality but it is not anywhere near as portable, as the roam.. sound quality I think is pretty good, but not fantastic

I bought this product to replace a Sonos Roam that I bought in 2021. I thought it was a great product then, but it broke just three months after the 15 month warranty ran out. Sonos was great at customer support. I returned the product and got a 15% discount on my next purchase. I purchased my current unit at Best Buy because I could pick up a unit immediately at my local store and I also bought a service plan. This particular unit was a lot easier to set up than my previous unit because of firmware and software updates. I have a 400 GB music collection on my local machine, which I want to listen to throughout the house. This is an excellent product and does everything they say it does. The fact that I repurchased the same unit after the old unit broke after 18 months, says how much I still like this product, and why a bought a service plan.

Purchased for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She absolutely loves it!! She loves the size, the amazing quality of sound and how she can make/receive calls without interrupting the music.

Absolutely perfect Bluetooth speaker for the shower. It's a real pain in the butt to get hooked up at first because you have to use your home Wi-Fi. Very easey to toss in a bag and carry around. Wonderful sound stage for a little speaker.

Overall a great speaker and if you're currently immersed in the Sonos ecosystem, it is a must have. I also own the Sonos Move but found that it was not practical to travel with. This speaker is exactly what I needed both while connected to my existing system at home or for on the go. I'm hoping that a future update will support stereo with 2 speakers (Move and or Roam) while on bluetooth

Great Portable Blue Tooth Player as well as Sonos Player to add to your existing system. It's great on the go and you can play your own music from your Phone or device directly.

This little speaker goes everywhere with me. The battery lasts long enough to enjoy music almost anywhere, and the sound from this tiny package is incredible. If you place it in a corner, it can easily fill an entire room with rich, smooth Sonos sound. On the patio, it fills the entire backyard, if that's what I need it to do. We took it camping, and set it in the kitchen of the cabin, and it easily filled the entire place, and could be heard on the deck. What a marvel. I've been waiting for Sonos to make something like this for years. The fact that it's rated for water resistance just makes it even more amazing. The beach, the pool, whatever you want to throw at it - it'll take it, and will sound amazing while doing it. The setup was a little bit on the wonky side, but once I updated my app and the speaker itself, it went pretty smoothly.

This is such a great addition to the Sonos family. I have a few speakers around the house and have been tempted by the Move for a bit but it just seemed too pricey, heavy and lacking features. The Roam covers all those issues. It’s super easy to move around, sounds great, pretty affordable (for sonos) and even acts as a bluetooth bridge in to your wifi system. The sound is better than any Bluetooth speaker I’ve heard personally. In the house I have it in a room that already has a speaker and adds a nice surround effect now. I can pick it up and take it outside to the pool and not even worry if it gets wet as it’s waterproof. The only real complaint is the wireless charger is an additional $50, thankfully you don’t really need it. The included usbc plug works just fine. I can’t wait to go to the beach to really test this thing out.

Easy to use and nice sound. I like that I can pick it up and take it from one room to another. I use Apple Air Play to play music from a CD player connected to my computer.

Great addition to our home Sonos setup. It’s even better for music in the shower!

Great speaker got when it was on sale, for the price I purchased it has amazing sounds and it has wifi and Bluetooth capabilities, and you can even use as a portable smart speaker.

For such a small speaker it really packs a punch. Makes it easy to carry around since it’s small and when you’re at home you can connect it to your existing Sonos system.

I'm in the Sonos eco system. This is perfect for moving around and taking outside. Bought when Sonos had their sale. Bought two for stereo sound in the bedroom when I sleep.
