Sound is as promised very good and the portability of can't be beat. The batter life is pretty low. I can charge it- play it only for about 30 minutes a night and it won't last more than three days before I need to charge again. Seems like it drains the battery even when off. One last issue- is that with Alexa- it does not respond to certain apps. It will open them- Sleep Sounds- but won't play anything. My Sonos Beam does the same thing. But overall, good sound- and decent enough. Unsure if totally worth it it for the price.

Amazing many people were like get the other brand no this SONOS sounds amazing ! At low volume say a quiet spot you’ll hear lots of base and clear words I love it I pull it out every weekend with my friends and last hours never gotten to the point where it runs out of battery yet when I’m out from like 7pm-2am

Loving this speaker . Been taking it out to the pool . Nice to be able to ask Alexa the time & also turn volume up or down. Love the hands free. Also is working great with my other Sonos speakers. Such great sound for such a small speaker . Quality speaker with decent bass.

Overall a great speaker and if you're currently immersed in the Sonos ecosystem, it is a must have. I also own the Sonos Move but found that it was not practical to travel with. This speaker is exactly what I needed both while connected to my existing system at home or for on the go. I'm hoping that a future update will support stereo with 2 speakers (Move and or Roam) while on bluetooth

These are my first Sonos speakers and I like them a lot. They sound good individually, but sound great when paired together. I use them mainly at home over airplay. I do have to occasionally remove and re-add them to the system when they start to cut out. Power cycling doesn’t do it, they need to be removed and re-paired. I keep them on wireless charging pads I bought for less than $10 rather than the outrageously expensive sonos ones. I bring one in the shower every day. Btw, if you aren’t listening to music in the shower, what are you even doing? The battery lasts quite a while in Bluetooth and it’s easy to switch Bluetooth on and the light changes to blue so you know. The assistant (I’ve used google and sonos) works well for simple pause, play, volume commands, but I didn’t have much luck with playing specific songs. But that’s not exclusive to these speakers. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a song to play with a voice command anywhere. If I were to buy these again, I’d save a little money and get the SL without the assistant.

This little speaker goes everywhere with me. The battery lasts long enough to enjoy music almost anywhere, and the sound from this tiny package is incredible. If you place it in a corner, it can easily fill an entire room with rich, smooth Sonos sound. On the patio, it fills the entire backyard, if that's what I need it to do. We took it camping, and set it in the kitchen of the cabin, and it easily filled the entire place, and could be heard on the deck. What a marvel. I've been waiting for Sonos to make something like this for years. The fact that it's rated for water resistance just makes it even more amazing. The beach, the pool, whatever you want to throw at it - it'll take it, and will sound amazing while doing it. The setup was a little bit on the wonky side, but once I updated my app and the speaker itself, it went pretty smoothly.

This is such a great addition to the Sonos family. I have a few speakers around the house and have been tempted by the Move for a bit but it just seemed too pricey, heavy and lacking features. The Roam covers all those issues. It’s super easy to move around, sounds great, pretty affordable (for sonos) and even acts as a bluetooth bridge in to your wifi system. The sound is better than any Bluetooth speaker I’ve heard personally. In the house I have it in a room that already has a speaker and adds a nice surround effect now. I can pick it up and take it outside to the pool and not even worry if it gets wet as it’s waterproof. The only real complaint is the wireless charger is an additional $50, thankfully you don’t really need it. The included usbc plug works just fine. I can’t wait to go to the beach to really test this thing out.

I think the Sonos Move has much better sound quality but it is not anywhere near as portable, as the roam.. sound quality I think is pretty good, but not fantastic

I bought this product to replace a Sonos Roam that I bought in 2021. I thought it was a great product then, but it broke just three months after the 15 month warranty ran out. Sonos was great at customer support. I returned the product and got a 15% discount on my next purchase. I purchased my current unit at Best Buy because I could pick up a unit immediately at my local store and I also bought a service plan. This particular unit was a lot easier to set up than my previous unit because of firmware and software updates. I have a 400 GB music collection on my local machine, which I want to listen to throughout the house. This is an excellent product and does everything they say it does. The fact that I repurchased the same unit after the old unit broke after 18 months, says how much I still like this product, and why a bought a service plan.

Absolutely perfect Bluetooth speaker for the shower. It's a real pain in the butt to get hooked up at first because you have to use your home Wi-Fi. Very easey to toss in a bag and carry around. Wonderful sound stage for a little speaker.

This is the perfect complement to my Sonos system. Other portables just didn't have the power that this does. Also the ease of use, the more than competitive price and -- I must admit -- the sleek design.

Purchased for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She absolutely loves it!! She loves the size, the amazing quality of sound and how she can make/receive calls without interrupting the music.

Great Portable Blue Tooth Player as well as Sonos Player to add to your existing system. It's great on the go and you can play your own music from your Phone or device directly.

Great sound from such a little speaker. Having the Bluetooth option is nice but usually use Wi-Fi at home with my other Sonos speakers.

I also have the Sonos Arc and Subwoofer. The products all work great together but the other 2 sound much better. Also The sound is amazing especially when Dolby Atmos is included but without that the sound can be very inconsistent

Was very excited to receive the new Roam, but ended up underwhelmed. The reviews I read and listened to did state that the speaker does not get loud and the low end/bass is not great. I should have stopped there as that is true. It does offer clear/clean sound, but for $169 I really expected more. If you turn the bass up, nothing really happens but muddy the sound. I believe this product is very overpriced. Yes, I love that it connects to the other Sonos, but I think they need to go back and reevaluate this offering or significantly lower the price. This should be priced at no more than $100 and they have room to develop another larger portable speaker that performs better for a sub $200 price point. I do like the size and the portability of the unit, but will stick to my JBL Charge 3 and Flip 5 for transporting around and on the boat. I am considering the MOVE to use on patio, since this won't work for me, just having a hard time with the price.

Great sounding speaker. Packs a lot of punch considering the size! The airplay feature is super handy because you can have other iPhone users share and play their music without dealing with Bluetooth connection.

Great speaker got when it was on sale, for the price I purchased it has amazing sounds and it has wifi and Bluetooth capabilities, and you can even use as a portable smart speaker.

Easy to use and nice sound. I like that I can pick it up and take it from one room to another. I use Apple Air Play to play music from a CD player connected to my computer.
