Least reliable audio product I’ve ever owned

If the battery drains while in this state it will not be responsive till a full power cycle which can take close to an hour. The power button is terrible as well. Utterly unreliable unless plugged in 24/7, and even then I need to fall back to Bluetooth too often since the power issues means my Sonos network can’t find it. Wish I simply got a regular Bluetooth speaker.

Posted .We're very sorry for your issues! Worth noting we have launched a software update to allow you to control the battery life experience. It's under room settings. Turning batter save mode on will cause Roam to shut off instead of falling asleep when not being used. When it falls asleep it turns back on when the app is interacted with thus seeming to have poor battery life if unnoticed. Turning on batter save mode should help with this! Thank you for the review!

It is portable, slim yet feels rugged and designed with awesome features which is very easy to use. It is rated IP67, which is waterproof and dust resistant. It is also drop resistant, which is nice to have. The speaker comes with USB C cable for charging. There is no wall adapter included though. The battery lasts up to 10 hours of playback time. The speaker also supports wireless charging with any Qi charger. It can be used horizontally or vertically when listening. It was a breeze and seamless to link Roam with the existing Sonos system. You can also pair with another Roam speaker for stereo play. The speaker supports streamimg music via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The best part about this feature is that the speaker will connect to your device if you lose WiFi connection. The physical buttons on Roam provides playback control options, turn off the microphone, and pair Bluetooth devices. The microphone helps with Trueplay feature where Roam optimizes the sound no matter the surrounding. It supports AirPlay 2 as well as voice control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Download the Sonos app to control the speaker and stream various music services directly on to Roam. A new feature I like is the Sound Swap which lets you switch the audio to the nearest speaker and vice versa. Overall, this is an amazing portable speaker from Sonos that provides the bang for the buck with loaded features.

Battery life is good, and the fact that it is waterproof puts it over the Beats Pill. If you are getting it for around the house opt for the Move.
