My only criticism is it is very challenging to set up the Sonos 2 system while trying to simultaneously maintain a separate Sonos 1 system with legacy products that are incompatible with Sonos 2

I figured the Roam would be perfect to replace my Bose Revolve. However, I am very disappointed. The best feature of the Roam is I can connect it to my current system and listen to the same thing…..that is the only reason I gave it a two stars. The bad, it has decent sound but Bose Revolve is way better. Tested both side by side and it wasn’t comparable (price is comparable). Connecting to the Roam is finicky - you can connect thru the Sonos App or your music app but it doesn’t always connect. Sometimes I have to go back and forth between the Sonos app and the music app to get music playing. I tried to connect via Bluetooth to try and “trick” it and get music to play and it still has issues. Sound is ok, connecting process is frustrating, and price is top of the line. My advice go with Bose until Sonos figures out the small speaker products.

Sonos -- Overpriced and Overhyped

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Sonos speakers for over 5 years and I've put up with the set up and operating difficulty (has anyone really figured out how to use with Alexa?) because of the great sound. The Roam fits that classic Sonos model -- expensive, unintuitive and difficult to operate. In this case, setting it up on WiFi was relatively easy (after some adjustments to my Sonos system), Bluetooth was not and to top it off this one didn't' work -- just crackling coming out the speaker. Going right back!
