I recently added the Sonos Sub (Gen 4) wireless subwoofer to my home audio setup, and it has completely transformed the sound experience. The bass is deep, powerful, and clear without any distortion, even at high volumes. It makes movies, music, and games feel more immersive, giving that true theater like experience right in my theatre room. Setting up the Sonos Sub was very simple. Being wireless, I didn't have to deal with messy cables, and it connected easily with my existing Sonos Arc sound bar. through the app. The Sonos app guided me through the setup, and the Trueplay tuning feature adjusted the sound perfectly for my room. making a noticeable difference in how the bass fills the space. Despite its power, it operates quietly without any humming or unnecessary noise. It complements my Sonos Arc soundbar perfectly, creating a rich, full range sound that makes every movie song much more enjoyable. One of the best things about the Sonos Sub is how it enhances all types of content. For action packed movies, the explosions and effects feel much more realistic. For much, especially bass heavy tracks, the Sub delivers punchy lows the that make the listening experience much more dynamic. Even subtle sounds, like footsteps or low frequency background effects in movies, are more noticeable and impactful. The wireless connectivity is also huge plus. I can place it anywhere in the room without worrying about long cables and it stays reliably connected to my Sonos system. Overall, the Sonos sub is an excellent addition for anyone looking to enhance their home audio system. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fuller, richer audio experience at home.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Sonos Sub Mini wireless subwoofer. The deep bass it delivers is powerful without being overwhelming, adding a rich, full dimension to everything from music to movies. Design-wise, it has a very sleek and elegant look that blends seamlessly into the room rather than standing out like traditional bulky subwoofers. It’s a great balance of performance and aesthetics. Where it really shines is when synced with the Ray soundbar and two Sonos Era 100 speakers. The combination creates an immersive, well-balanced soundstage with clear highs, detailed mids, and that deep, punchy bass that ties everything together beautifully. Another highlight is the Sonos app. Setting up the system and tuning the room was incredibly easy, and it really enhances the overall listening experience by optimizing the sound for your space. Overall, this is a fantastic addition to any Sonos setup—especially if you’re looking to elevate your audio with deeper bass and a more cinematic feel without sacrificing style or simplicity.

The Sonos Sub Mini Dual is a compact powerhouse that enhances your audio experience. Despite its smaller size, it delivers deep, punchy bass that adds a new dimension to your Sonos setup. The dual drivers work in harmony, ensuring a well-balanced and immersive low-frequency response. Setting it up is a breeze, seamlessly connecting to your existing Sonos ecosystem. The sleek design allows for versatile placement, and its unobtrusive footprint won't compromise your living space. While it comes with a relatively higher price, the Sonos Sub Mini Dual is a valuable addition for those seeking impressive bass performance in a compact form.

I have an Arc, and two Era 100 as surrounds along with my LG 55 in my home office. Although the arc is impressive, I felt the lack of bass below 100hz. So, I read up on whether to pair the Arc with the Gen 3 sub or the sub mini. Online audiophiles recommended that you answer two questions: 1) Size of room and 2) do you want to rattle your neighbors and feel it in your chest. Since my room wasnt large (eg <300’ sq) and i didnt want to disturb my neghbors (or wife) i chose the sub mini. I’m very happy with my choice. After running Truplay set up, the sub adds in the bottom end nicely, filling in the whole in the Arc, to a well balanced signal down to 25hz for movie soundtracks as well as classical symphony. Nice flatline from 25hz on up. Now, that said, i did experiment further and found the sub mini to also be very impressive when i wanted to watch an action film like “Extraction” with cinema quality, heart throbbing bass (& my wife’s out of the house and my neighbors are gone)… I simply go into the Sonos settings and turn up the sub volume +5 to + 7 (out of +15) and you get all the oomph of chest pounding bass you’d expect from a sub. Im thrilled - particularly for not shelling out the extra $400 for the gen3 full sub. Clearly not needed in my scenario. YMMV.
