I have it paired with a beam and 2 surrounds. I just think it's expensive but comparedly both this and the beam are pretty much half that of the arc and larger sub. Regardless I think it does add the oomph the beam lacked on its own.

Sometimes the balance can be a bit off, but overall, it provides much more depth for movies and shows. Good value.
