ended up returning this items due to the cost. Would prefer to add the ONE or THREE sound speakers to my systems.

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but I absolutely LOVE this sub! I also have the Sonos playbar and they work great together. The ap has been updated and is much easier to use than the older version. I hope to soon be able to add some more speakers and get true surround sound.

picked up the SONOS sub and playbar. got the mount to go with it and was incredibly impressed with the sound quality and user friendliness of both operating the speakers and installation of each piece. the wall mount kit adds a nice touch and makes the playbar look very sleek as well. well worth it.

First all it looks beautiful, then you hear it play and all you can say is wow. This little sub packs a wallop! Sounds excellent, I bought it to replace a velodyne subwoofer that was top of the line when purchased. This sub sounds just as good as the velodyne while being only 1/4th the size.

let me tell you, this is the best subwoofer I've ever had and I've had other top of the line brands as well. no issues with rattling the encasing. with this sub paired up with the Sonos Playbar, you'll have the ultimate home theatre/sound setup. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend. Yes, it's pricey, especially if you're getting both at the same time, but in the long run it's worth it. Wireless connectivity. you'll have the ability to place this subwoofer anywhere in the room, and it actually looks good. easily add speakers in the future. no wires through the walls, ceilings, etc. GET IT.

I have always always been sold on Bose sound and technology until I was introduced to Sonos. During the Christmas holidays a Best Buy store associate spent time with us reviewing the Sonos play bar, sub woofer, and play-3s demonstrating each. After listening to the store associate and how the system worked my wife and I decided to give it a test. We bought the Sonos play bar, sub, and 2-play-3s for our living room. I can report that the sound quality and performance of each of the speakers more than surpasses any of our expectations. Set up was easy to say the least. The key is that you purchase a boost to plug into your internet router to make the set up complete. Totally happy with our $2700.00 investment!! This Sonos system replaced the largest Bose system you can buy that cost us over $5000.00. Bose has met there competition as far as I'm concerned and what really sold us was that everything is wireless, no more wires everywhere running behind the furniture to conceal. Thanks to Best Buy and their knowledgable associate for educating us on the Sonos HIFI systems, made us true believers.

In all honesty if the playbar was out already I would have bought that instead of the subwoofer. Don't get me wrong, the sub is absolutely AWESOME however there are only certain times I want to turn my house into a full on night club. Which has been our way of getting energy out of our kids before bed (Dance parties). The sound quality is second to none that I've heard. Really, I'm not kidding. It's amazing. I am thrilled that I have it and eventually I'll save up to get the playbar as well but I think I would buy the play bar first if I had to choose and they were both available. Mainly because I think we'd get much more use out of the playbar. If you like heavy, high quality thumping in every song this sub can do that for you. I have mine set for one notch above middle so I get quality base while not having to figure out what words are being sung. Overall excellent. Regarding my one negative, I used credit card points to get a gift card to buy this otherwise I would not been able to justify the price. Happy I have it now though... Oh also it's bigger than I imagined. It may be worth looking at the specifications depending on your space.

I've been so impressed with the Play:1 series. (I have three). It was a tough choice to get the sub vs. The soundbar next. After a flip of the coin, I used in store pickup and had the sub in my Sonos inventory in about 5 minutes. Yes, you can turn on and off the sub in advanced settings while playing. What a difference! Full volume control! Having a blast today with family playing DJ! Sounds just fantastic. Yes, they are pricy, but for the flexibility of plugging into any outlet, they so perform perfectly!

Earth shattering sound. The cost is more than I wanted to spend but totally worth it! Easy to setup with Sonos app for iPhone.

Now I'm the cheapest person around. I bought 1 play 1 just because. I like it so a month later, I bought another one. They really sound good especially in stereo mode, but it was lacking bass. I REALLY didn't want to spend 700 dollars for another speaker. I bought it anyway, was sick on my way home. Hook it up and my goodness, best 700 I've spend. Buy it now!!!!

SONOS is completely addicting, its like Lay's Potato chips, you can just have one, because these are so easy to set up in multiple rooms or to set up a home theater system, they make buying more incredibly tempting. They are so very easy to use and the sound fantastic.

Just an awesome sub. Easy to tweak based on desired amount of bass.

This sub works seamlessly with the soundbar. Setup was a breeze and it adds amazing sound and depth to the soundbar. It can sit virtually anywhere, even out of sight, but it is such a nice looking piece of equipment that you would almost be a fool to not have this thing visible. Very happy after a month of use and would highly recommend this addition to the soundbar, once you have the money.

I have become addicted to Sonos. I got a playbar a couple months ago and I love it. I felt like I wanted some more bass though. The setup was easy. However, the first time I tried it, the app glitched out for some reason. I tried it again and it worked. You need an ethernet cable connected to either the playbar or sub if you don't have the bridge. I would have liked the matte black one a little better I think, but the gloss one still looks really nice. The sub doesn't vibrate but your house will. It is a bit expensive, but if you want wireless, and love your other Sonos products, it's well worth it. You can't use a 10% off coupon on any Sonos product.

my great room is 25x25 open ceiling to second floor so 20' ceiling, on the first floor my great room opens up with no walls into a 30x25 kitchen area. this sub fills the entire area with serious thumb at base setting. it was setup and running with the sound bar in minutes. I have a $3k Martin Logan sub that may get sold. I cannot believe the sound this little thing produces. Unreal!!!

I've got Play 5s, Play 1s, and a Soundbar so I'll admit I'm a fan of Sonos. The Subwoofer was my last hold-out. It's pricey and it is a less necessary component (or so I thought.) In my living room I have the Soundbar and (2) 1s and I was happy with the sound. However, when watching movies and shows with a dynamic range I was noticing the dialogue was a bit muddled. So, I bit the bullet and bought the Subwoofer and I love it. It's decreased the low end from the rest of the speakers allowing for better overall sound. The only caveat is that I had to dial down the overall bass levels in the EQ as the bass is pumping.

The base coming from this sub is truly unbelievable! When I set up the sub to my existing Sonos surround sound system, I literally shook the walls in my house at the test sound phase. It adds great base to everything you watch!

Added this to a playbar for our TV. For normal TV shows, this adds a great depth to the sound, but not overpowering. When watching an action movie, it can make the whole house shake if you want it too. Fantastic clarity, great product

This Sub is awesome! I have it on my rooftop deck and have to keep it at about half way or it will shake the house. I wish that it could be used with a home theater system so I didn't have to have two different subs and the price is high. I will say this thing looks amazing and sounds even better so if you have other Sonos products and want bass you can really feel..... Buy it!

Bought the playbar and subwoofer today and I love it. Only needed a direct connect to my router and the two linked up together smoothly. Simple install and I can add more as time goes on.
