Adding in the subwoofer makes the sound richer. Everything sounds great before you add it, but yet it just gets better. Set up was very easy including customizing for your room.

I’m so impressed with this subwoofer paired with the Beam Soundbar. Setting up and pairing with Beam was very simple. Blown away by the sound. Movie theatre like bass.

Pros: 1. Attractive 2. Great sound quality 3. Painless set-up Cons: 1. NA Though the below might be irrelevant, thought of adding it here. Firstly, I'm a big fan of SONOS. So I went to bestbuy and placed an order for a 5.1 home theater system. I was told that SONOS Sub is not available in White and I was asked to take the Black SUB. Once the white sub is in stock they asked me to exchange it. It's been more than 30 days and now when I check the status online for the White SUB, it says "Out of Stock", "No longer available". I'm not blaming any of the representatives, but the black SUB is the odd one out in my white home interior :) Hopefully, I can get the WHITE SUB in a week or two!

Unpacked the box, reviewed quick setup then started it up. It immediately downloaded new firmware, then took a little bit of time finding the rest of my Sonos system, but as soon as it did it immediately stated working. The amount of bass is just right, not too much nor too little. I have tried it with the TV, movies, and Fire Cube, and all gave some really wonderful sound. My wife thought it was a little too big at first, so i hid it under the love seat, so now you only hear the sound, and can't see where it is coming from. Definitely a worthwhile investment, especially during the Black Friday sale, when it was reduced by $100.

This Sonos Sub is small comparing to the other ones on the market, but its sound is excellent and work very well with my Sonos Playbar. Produces deep bass. Highly recommended.

I purchased this Subwoofer to complete my Sonos home theater, and all I can say is wow! I originally started out with the Sonos Beam, which is a great product but I wasn't quite happy with it. The sound was a bit lacking in both highs and lows. So I added my 2 Sonos Play1s to the beam and the sound was improved, but still I wasn't happy. I told myself that the Sonos Subwoofer was just too expensive, I would NEVER pay $700 for a Subwoofer, that's ridiculous! So after watching a few movies and listening to music for a week or so I was convinced that this just wasn't the system for me. I love listening to music, I really do. And every day for hours of listening to jazz, blues, country, hip-hop, rock I liked what I was hearing, but I didn't love it. I was going to return the Sonos Beam and explore other options. Now mind you I was previously using an Onkyo receiver, and 4 Polk floor standing speakers for listening to music and it was amazing, but I wanted more space and less components. So I went online to Best buy I'm sorry that the subwoofer was on sale for $100 off. I decided to go ahead and buy the subwoofer and give it a try, though I was very skeptical. I brought the subwoofer home, connected it to my Sonos beam and my to Sonos Play1s, and then ran the Truplay tuning.....OMG this was the solution I had been looking for. Once you connect the subwoofer, the Sonos Beam and Play1s sounded like totally different speakers. The subwoofer handles all the Bass, therefore allowing the Beam and Play1s to focus on the treble and mid-range duty. By allowing the sub to handle all the bass, it allowed the load to be lightened on the other speakers. They were no longer struggling to reproduce the low bass that I was looking for, now they soar! This sub is just absolutely amazing, it truly is. It is so powerful, so deep, and has so much impact. But what I love most is the ability to control the sub...I can set it anywhere from perfectly filling in the bass lines on a Joe Bonamassa track, to rattling the windows watching StarWars. I know the sub this quite a bit of money, I never thought that I would have ever bought one. But it is worth every penny, and when you first connected and start playing music or a movie and that smile just appears on your face.... Then you know what's worth it.

Incredibly clean and robust low-end from this wireless and stylish sub (I got the white finish; it’s also available in black; either way, it looks a little like a piece of modern sculpture). The bass produced from this unusually shaped speaker is extremely dense and tight, and brings any kind of music to life. Try a funk band like Vulfpeck or Tower of Power - it will blow your mind. At $600, it’s one of the better-priced pieces of Sonos gear, as a decent sub is likely in that range anyway. And, IT’S WIRELESS. A total audio winner.

Great product. Clean low bass and sounds extremely great when paired with the Sonos sound bar. Easy setup. Only downside is the black glossy finish, it attracts dust particles.

The Sonos sound bar is awesome in itself but if you want to take the experience to a different level I highly suggest the subwoofer. You will experience sound quality like you have never heard before without any type of distortion. I know it seem expensive but you won't regret it.

The price deterred me from getting this for a while, but as we continued to expand our Sonos system I thought I'd just bite the bullet and get it. I am glad I did! It really smooths out the sound in our main space which is a rather large room. The extra bass this provides over the speakers gives the overall sound a nice boost. It still seems like a lot of money to spend on it, but just like everything else we've bought from Sonos this works out-of-the-box with little configuration, and that is something we can really appreciate.

This sub is a MUST HAVE for any Sonos home theater system! Having this sub makes the overall setup give Regal a run for their money! The bass is massive and detailed without being boomy or overpowering. You can adjust the EQ in the Sonos app if it's a little too much for your liking though. I find the default sub settings are perfect for movies, but need slight dialing back for a balance sound while listening to music. I do wish it was a tad more punchy, but overall I'm HAPPY with this purchase. It's not cheap, but absolutely worth it.

Loud. Good tone on the lows too. Hits when it should hit. Rumbles when it should rumble. I am actually very happy with my Sonos sound bar and sub. If you need a sound bar and want full range close to studio quality sound then this is the best I’ve heard in a setup like this.

I put off buying my Sonos surround sound speakers waiting for a "good time". I finally pulled trigger on the Sonos Playbar and paired it with two Sonos Play 1's that I already had. The sound was pretty good, but the base just wasn't there. So, I went ahead and bit the bullet and got the Sub. Incredible difference! The subwoofer is a must have in order to have the rich depth of base a surround sound system should deliver. I love my Sonos system and I was so happy to get rid of all the wires my previous system required. My reco...go for it!! You won't regret it.

Ran a Sonos system without the subwoofer while we got settled into a new home. Loved the system and then added the sub. What a difference it makes in overall sound! The stylish design and white color works well in our overall decor. It does come in black but the white blended with our woodwork better. The fact that you can either stand it upright or lay it down allows you to place it in spots that are less obvious. Love the flexibility. Sound is incredible, clean and provides the impact to a home theater system without running speaker wires that you're looking for.

Excellent bass. Very noticeable. Very easy to set up and pair with my other sonos speakers to produce surround sound.

Not a huge audiophile or someone who is an aficionado of sound systems but I can appreciate a great sound system that sounds amazing and is easy to set up! The biggest issue we have had with this subwoofer is getting our new TV to recognize it as a Sonos product.... it took a little doing but when we used the old power cycling method for both it worked like a charm. This sounds amazing with our Sonos Beam and the app setup was very easy and effective. Would highly recommend this subwoofer and Sonos overall.

The sub was super easy to add to my playbar, provides great low-end support without overwhelming the room in size or boom. Sleek, heavy, and responsive. Very pleased

I purchased the sub to round out my surround sound system. The app helps tune the unit for placement in the room. I provides amazing, rich bass. Buy it without hesitation.

My mom wanted a surround system without the mess of wires. At first I tried a soundbar but that resulted in three remotes just to turn everything on. Took the bar back and went with a Sonos system consisting of the Sub,playbar and two Play ones. Download the amp and got to work. Just needed to connect an HDMI to the playbar. Other than the power cords, everything else is a wireless setup. It's a perfect system for the folks. Yes it's expensive but they wanted ease of use and compared to the first sound bar, the Sonos system is definitely worth the money!
