I purchased the Sonos Sub about a month after the Playbar. The Playbar had good base, but I wanted more! The Sub is a great compliment to the Playbar. Music sounds great and 4K UHD movies sound incredible! Especially action movies. It can be placed anywhere in the room and has no rattles or vibration. Very well made product. The best Sub I’ve experienced.

The Sonos Subwoofer is a must have with the Playbar. They sound GREAT together. The bass is out of this world. My Playbar, Sub and Sonos One Gen 2 speakers were the life of the party. I stream Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Spotify and Sirius XM thru my system. Awwwwwwwsome! My wife loves it.

Sonos sub works great in my home theater set up. Purchased glossy black and fits in well and great look. Set up was easy using the Sonos App to get things going. However, wouldn't mind if Sonos brought more features back to my laptop. Output is very good. Satisfied with purchase and would recommend.

Amazing. I just purchased a 65” LG smart tv and paid almost as much for the Sonos components. Initially I only purchased an LG sound bar but was so disappointed I returned it. I’m so glad I made the investment. The Sonos app enhances the sound distribution perfectly customized to your space. And it was so easy to see set up. Love!!!

Tested quite a few other soundar/subwoofer combinations, including the Bose Acoustimas, and I found the Sonos to blow it out of the water.

We moved over to a Sonos system with a play bar, 2 play-1, and this sub for our main living area and TV. The sound is fantastic, and the sub is one of the major reasons. The sound — movies in particular — are full and deep without rumble or excess vibration. I think the design and execution of this speaker is spot-on.

I previously had two Sonos speakers just for playing music, so I was confident that the sound from the Subwoofers should also be good and it didn’t disappoint. It was incredibly easy to install and I’m really happy with the sound quality. It also isn’t too big and looks good in the lounge. Overall- very pleased with my purchase.

I purchased the Sonos soundbar first without the sub but I quickly figured out that was a mistake. I went back and purchased the sub and now my sound system sounds great. I had been told to not purchase the soundbar without the sub and they were right. It makes a ton of difference to the sound of the system. Great sound, easy to set up and use.

The extended bass produced by this sub woofer is clean and undistorted. The innovative balanced facing drivers powerfully extend the low frequency end without producing distorting vibrations of the cabinet and floor. I consider this sub a required addition to the Sonos Playbar and Play 1 surround speakers for an audio experience rivaling the best theater systems.

Great sounding sub to add to your Sonos collection. The bass sounds fantastic and compliments the playbar and 1's that I have connected to it. It appears the subwoofer will tune itself to your existing set up. Before getting this sub, I had the sonos amp plus a separate 8" infinity sub and it was not tuned correctly - a lot of overlapping sounds which sounded muffled

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of bass that comes out of this Sub-woofer. I went to Best Buy knowing what I wanted, which I thought was Bose. My sales guy did an awesome job of "qualifying" me however. I wanted crisp, thundering lows instead of the mud that was coming out of my current sub-woofer. He asked if he could demo the Sonos system for me and when told me the price of it, I flinched. So, he played the Bose system for me which sounded very good as they usually do. Then Sonos came on and it also sounded very good. Then he "reeled me in, hook, line & sinker" when he said he was activating the Sub. I was floored. Amazing sound! I almost hugged they guy. Sonos is pricey but worth every penny. I'll never go back to anything else and I'm probably ruined for life but I love the amazing sound that comes out of this system. I currently have 3 separate Sonos sound systems and am very satisfied!!

It is a very impressive speaker for the sound it puts out. The bass is phenomenal but it also adds clarity to the beam because it is no longer producing the lower tones. It is worth the money if you can spend it. I still don’t like the price but I also can not bring myself to take it back!!

I thought it was overkill and was going to return it even though I got it on holiday sale, but put with my two 5s for listening to music, my CDs, SOO worth it as the bass frees up the 5 to do more work at the higher ends. Quality product!

I didn't know about spending this money on this sub. When i connected this, it was definitely worth it. This has some serious bass and looks nice. If you have a sonos system this is for sure to complete it. I didn't realize i was missing this much base even with the play bar I have. Must have.

Easy setup and plenty of volume and lots of bass if you want it. Controls via iPad or iPhone is very nice. Plays my DLNA server music.

read up before purchase was made listened to it in the store it sounded better than the Bose so I purchased it very happy with product

I think the sonos player ( playbar and sub) is awesome!!! The quality of the system is great and it’s exactly what I was looking for!!

The Playbar is great, but this adds needed bass. And the bass is great. Not sure I love the price, but as it's the only option for the playbar, I'll take it.

If you have the Sonos soundbar then you really must have this. The soundbar can hang OK on its own but you will need this for a good sound experience with movies and TV. One other note: the sub can either stand upright or lay flat. The packaging comes with feet for that. Downside to this is the price. Subs aren't typically cheap but this one is pricey.
