Great bass without the vibration

My unit sits in a large living room. When the sound I felt wasn’t good enough for movie night I bought the base. Loved the sound so much I bought an extra play 1 for final 5.1 surround. Great movie system

The absolute best sound system I've owned!!!

I was reluctant to purchase Sonos because of this but I'm super happy with it. The sound is awesome and I do definitely recommend it. I was just going to buy the Sonos playbar and expand from there but I also purchased this subwoofer and two of the smaller speakers! Excellent buy!

Fantastic Sub

This is my second sub and with two Play-5 speakers the sound is killer. I use it in my home office and with True Play and the Sonos app I can enjoy music of any style. Sounds great for rock and pop, classical, jazz, and anything else. If you have Sonos gear without this sub, start saving your money for one!

Combined with my Sonos Playbar, the sound quality is very good. I'm no audiophile so I won't say it's excellent, as I'm sure there are more expensive options that produce higher quality audio, but to my ears it sounds great. Very easy to use, and I've never had issues with it.
