I like buying things like this with my reward certificates. For those that don't like sharing credit card numbers over your consoles (though I think Sony, in this case, requires as much when you first set up), this is a simple workaround. It also makes for a nice gift for a gamer if you don't know exactly which game to get them.

It is a gift card to use in the playstation store, I think it explains itself. But it makes it so I don't have to keep my credit card on file. Since I was one of the victims when they had the data stolen I will never leave my card on file with them but I still need to download spiderman.

It is great... instead of paying $10 with your credit card on Sony's store, and risk your information being stolen---you can simply buy the card at your local BestBuy (with cash or however you prefer). I had a $5 reward certificate that was going to expire and I didn't really need to buy anything in the store. So I thought I'd get this $10 card (on sale for $9.50) and use the certificate. Shipping was free and it came within a week. I was able to quickly credit the card to my PSN account, and it was a good way to get a $10 credit for $4.50.
