These have to be some of the best bang for the buck headphones around. These feature rich over ear headphones are unbelievably comfortable with near audiophile sound.

I was interested in a wireless over the ear noise cancelling HP... Bose, B&O & Sennheiser were at the top of the list... however after reading many reviews I decided to give the Sony’s a try... really unbelievable sound... I’m a first time wireless guy, so these were a new experience & I wanted them for my flights to Europe & elsewhere...the noise cancelling feature alone make these worth the cost... the controls however took me a bit to get used to... & the aesthetics may not be the best but I’m a function over form guy at any rate and these cans are really fantastic... I’d recommend em highly & the app is is ok too.

I have tried other headphones but these by far are the best noise canceling. I wear them when I mow the lawn and it is like night and day. You don’t have to have music or audio volume loud. It goes from sitting next to a jet engine to a nice calm ride around the lawn. The sound quality is good as well. They don’t seem to work any better than other third party headsets with the PS4 which is disappointing. I was hoping that being Sony they would work over Bluetooth with the mic but they do not. Overall these are great and I am pleased with my purchase. I would recommend these over the Bose competitor.

I compared these to my friend's Bose QC35 & in my opinion, these are a better product. Factor in the Black Friday pricing & I am thoroughly impressed and pleased with the purchase. Tested these out on a recent flight and the ambient noise attenuation is excellent. Movie and music playback is clear & detailed. I consider the Bose headphones to be a very good product, but in my opinion the audio reproduction is better with the Sony. The only drawback is when adjusting the headphones or removing them, it is very easy to change volume or accidentally activate the voice assistant.

Great loud sound to them. Bose were comfortable and a bit lighter, but I've had the Sony for a while now and they're great and comfortable.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD558's I purchased from BestBuy on sale for $75 and they sound great but now I don't want to be tied down to my PC or my receiver so I looked for BT sets and I tried a set from Sennheiser, the 4.40 but they are not truly over the ear and caused my ears to hurt (they did sound good) This time I didn't want to mess around I went with the highest rated headphones by CNET which were these 1000XM2 and while they fit ok (a bit on the small side) the sound is just ok. The 558's sound better with much more detail in highs and mid-level with powerful lows So I am a bit disappointed that I spent so much and had to take a step back in terms of overall sound and comfort and I understand that headphones connected to a receiver are going to be more powerful but I was hoping for more which I might not be able to get out of a BT set so I may just have to settle but I am going to try the Bose before I settle on a pair.

Great headset extremely comfortable. I picked this headset over the Bose because it has a little bit more bass. However, I believe the noise cancelling was a bit better on the Bose. Overall, extremely happy with the headphones. I can wear for hours without any complaints.

The sound quality is that of much more expensive headphones. I really enjoy the adaptive noise cancelling and being able to control everything through the Sony app. The headphones are comfortable and the battery lasts long enough for cross-country trips with layovers.

I researched for a long time over which pair of noise cancelling headphones to get. I compared the Bose QC 35's to the Sony's and overall am very happy I chose the Sonys. Most online reviews tend to favor the Sonys but offer the Bose as a "safe" choice. Once I found out that Sony's higher quality sound LDAC codec is being integrated into future versions of Android (and already on my OG Pixel XL) I pulled the trigger. Sound quality is excellent and I have had no comfort issues. The noise cancelling is great and easy to switch between different levels. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

The noise cancelling is better than the Bose QC, same with battery life and sound. Earcups are more comfortable and the case it comes with is pretty cool.

After buying and returning 2 other pricey headphones, I paid $299 for these and am truly happy with them. I live on a street with a school nearby and between buses, cars and sirens, sitting on the deck outside was noisy and nerve grating. With these NC phones on, with or w/o music, I am in my own world. I love the sound quality too. Love the app for my phone. This is my first ever product review. Normally wouldn't take the time but I read reviews before I bought these and felt that I owed it to others looking for great headphones. Enjoy and thanks for reading my review.

These are middle of the road in terms of cost bit seem to perform as good as the high end phones for noise cancelling. Comfortable around ear design.
