I did a little research plus demoed numerous pairs of headphones and these headphones met all my expectations. The only complaint I would have is that you have to be playing some type of audio to use the noise cancelling, they will shut off after several minutes if no audio is present. Hopefully they will upgrade the software to allow you to use them as noise cancelling only.

These are amazing. Very secure and comfortable fit and incredible sound!

I bought these headphones after doing quite a bit of research and honing in on two (probably like most of you considering buying similarly priced headphones) - these SONY and the BOSE Quiet Comfort 35. What finally made me choose these was actually a sale that reduced the price by $50. Of course, the next iteration of these headphones came out about two months later, which I'm sure is what prompted the sale. No buyer's remorse though. These Mark II headphones sound great, the noise cancelling is first rate, and comfort after prolonged wearing on a 12+ hour flight was just fine. I really like the "touch" control on the right side for skipping forward/back, pausing, or momentarily shutting them down when the flight attendant is yelling at me to put my seat and tray table up - I can't hear a thing when the headphones are on and I'm engrossed in a movie. The SONY headphone app on my iPhone/iPad is also great for fine tuning their performance. I'm not sure what SONY may have added in the update of this model as they are an all around winner to me. I would definitely purchase these again. And so should you unless you just happen to like the overall sound of the BOSE, but to me they lack the easy touch controls on the SONY and that would be the deal breaker.

I consider myself a bit of an audiophile and am always looking for the "best" audio equipment that I can afford. I have Parrot Zik 2 and B&O headphones which are excellent but the Sonys are great from a sound perspective and the noise cancelling is excellent. I would recommend these headphones without reservation. They also fold up nicely so are easy to travel with.

I picked these up in store last week. Was there to check out the Bose QC, but the sales clerk showed me these as well. After trying them both for a while, I went with the Sony set. I’ve used them every day since. I’m self employed, so I work in libraries, coffee shops, and restaurants all day, and these give me a perfect “cone of silence” wherever I am. Love them.

After many reviews and research, this is the best in class ANC headphones in the market forsure. The phone app is actually really handy. Love it.

Never had a high-end pair of noise-canceling headphones before, and I love these. Pairing and control is easy, the noise-canceling is stellar, and I love the feature that allows you to cup your right hear and hear someone talking to you. Great for travel and they fold very flat. Was choosing between this and the Bose, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

The side touch sound blocking is fantastic, the Bluetooth is great.

Had it for months now, and very happy with the sound quality. One main purpose of the purchase is to wear these while cutting the lawn. WOW!!! Cuts out the noise of the lawn mower wonderfully! I just hear a hum, which may be due to needing to hold the handles. I now can listen to music at a much lower volume. These are wonderful!

Great sound and quality, light weight easy to use.

Read lots of reviews regarding noise canceling headphones. Opinions all over the board. Went to store and tested for myself. To me, these had best sound quality. I have had a couple weeks now and am totally satisfied. Downside...the controls are a bit touchy and noise canceling does let a small amount of voice noise come through in lower noise situations.

You will not be disappointed. Sound is great! Comfortable fit!

Sony has always been on top of their game. These have some more useful features than the Bose. But when they went on sale, I couldn’t pass.

Wow! I've waited awhile to get a pair of Sonys top of the line BTNC headphones. I've read plenty of reviews and they've all been correct. They rival if not perform better than Bose QC35 headphones. I would recommend these over the Bose. The XM3 are available with minimal upgrade to these. The current drop in price is well worth the cost.

These are definitely better quality than the beats but still falls short on value for the money. The rubber lining on the ear pieces gest a bit uncomfortable and makes your ears warm after a while. At this price it should have a cooling fan :)
