Sony really makes a good interface for all user types. My older parents even have no troubles navigating the settings, somthing they feared with my older unit. This thing also sounds amazing! I have it paired with Klipsch reference R-625FA, R-52C and R-42M. It powers them all fine with crisp clear audio. Great product with all the features you could need especially for the price.

Replaced my Pioneer receiver

Good setting adjustments to personalize my sound experience/setup. Had to replace my Pioneer Elite receiver that blew after only 1yr..was very disappointed, as i've always bought Pioneer receivers in the past, but decided to switch it up after my recent disappointment. Will see how Sony receivers treat me for a little while..so far, so good.

Amazing sound!

Also to pair it with my new Sony 65 inch TV. As most of us do, I read all the reviews and watch the Youtube videos trying to make an educated guess on what was best for my price range. I am amazed at the sound quality and the ease of setup of this amplifier. I reused my old 5.1 speakers and could not believe how great they sound. Definitely would buy it again.

Multiple inputs, (no phono though). Overall very satisfied and would recommend highly

CONS - poor integration with my Sony tv. Still need several remotes and/or multiple clicks to change from my Sony blu-ray to cable tv. - limited printed documentation to help with setup (instead videos online).

Has me pulling my hair out because I've worked in sound and I have no idea why the receiver keeps turning off. I used high quality 12AWG wire with banana plugs and my AMP keeps turning off for. I'm going to check my wire, but it doesn't make sense.

Amazing Sound

All I can say is "WOW". The sound is absolutely amazing. The speaker calibration and overall setup was quick and easy. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. It made our older speakers perform beyond our expectations. Highly recommend.

It completes my home theater system. 4K is stunning! But it even makes all my blue rays sound better than they ever did with the dynamic range compression feature. Terrific Home Theater Receiver

I run my Blu Ray, Spectrum cable TV, and Fire TV using my home theater and it works great. I no longer need to run a separate audio cable for each source. I love that it has a second HDMI out which enables me to project to a computer monitor when I don't want to lower my big screen. I have a Klipsch 5.1 surround system and it really works well with this receiver.

(This was the idea before the quarantine was put in place, but that only contributed to the need.) This receiver allowed me to connect my various input sources very easily. The Sony setup was intuitive and recognized my speaker placement without a hitch. We have at least 2 movie "nights" per week and this has really added to the enjoyment.

The clarity and sound are amazing and with the Sony ecosystem, you are able to perform multi-room linking allowing compatible sony devices to group as a single system allowing multi room listening that's great for entertaining. The unit has features that I honestly may never use due to the nature if my setup, however, it's good knowing they are available for future expansion. Setup was super easy as well as administrative changes to sound / speaker preferences. I enjoy the system so much that I purchased another one for my master bedroom sitting area utilizing a full sony 7.2.2 setup... 2 towers, 2 atmos speakers, 2 Sony subs 10" subs, 2 rear surrounds and a Sony center... using this has taken my sound experience to the next level! So far, I have had no software / hardware issues. It has a LAN port built in for network integration. If there was a need, I would buy another to put somewhere else in my home!

The set-up was easy, once I figured out how to do it right. The sound is powerful, and clear, with ability to accommodate both Zone B, and Atmos up-firing speakers. I got this on sale during the run-up to Christmas, so I saved a little money on it, but I would have purchased at normal price. It is a fantastic receiver!
