I have pre-wired surround sound in my house and supplemented those with some high end tower speakers for the front speakers. The receiver balanced everything well through the setup and test feature (part of the suggested setup). Tons of power to really get the room shaking!

The previous one died after 17 years of great service. I have to confess that I was skeptical about this updated unit because of my attachment to the old unit. However, after reading the positive reviews and looking at the technical specs, I had to give it a chance. My advice... get this Sony Receiver. Well worth the purchase!

Geek squad are and set it up it was smooth sailing....I didn’t even try to set up up since I had several other items to attach to it. ( at least four). So far it has produced great output. It does get a little confusing if ur not tech savvy...as I use about three to four different remotes. But I could easy solve this by purchasing a universal remote. But overall I am pleased with it.

Great 7.2 Dolby Atmos & DTSX receiver ever!

And has WiFi, Bluetooth, and Apple Air Play built in but my favorite is Spotify is built in and all you have to do after connecting you Spotify account to the receiver you just hit the world looking button and it goes straight to your Spotify account and plays your playlist without hooking up anything and you control it with the remote.

But can use a separate phono amp if your turntable don't have one. Menus a.bit confusing. But once your set your good. Its my 3rd Sony. The older ones were built better but then what isn't built like the older ones these days. Video through works well. No.issues so far. Highly recommend.

Man, what a difference this has made in the sound quality, crispness, volume, separation and satisfaction experienced as a result. Now I enjoy true surround sound with the Dolby Atmos experience in my own home. Thanks once again for a great product.
