Almost the best receiver

Has many settings to play with. I Like the on screen display. awesome sound. Depends on what your audio your bringing to it. My goal is to learn all the settings and ad a 7.1 Negative, the remote is not universal. And It doesn’t always sync correctly when changing the source.

The culprit may be my new TCL tv, with built-in Roku. Some shows say “Dolby +” on the receiver but nothing comes through the sub or surrounds. When it does, it’s great! The ARC HDMI is weird also; when I try to access the receiver menu, the tv menu overrides it, so I can’t set up the receiver onscreen.

They were impressed with the sound system. What more can we say. Love the clear, concise, undistorted sound coming from my speakers. Had a little trouble getting my center speaker to work but with assistance from Sony, got it done.

I’m assuming that it was getting too hot in the garage and the receiver was over heating. I moved it into the house and it works amazing. I would definitely recommend this to someone starting a home theater system.

After that there is a set up they walk you through step by step and that is simple too! They literally cover everything and explain what the options mean. It comes with a speaker calibration mic as well. It only takes a few moments and balances out everything perfectly!!

We purchased all the speakers, subs, and other equipment from Crutchfield.

Replacing an older Sony receiver!

Wish I could have found a receiver that will still hook up to a turn table, but will just repair the individual components and use the old one for music only. This new receiver is terrific for surround sound home theatre use and its Bluetooth capability.

Intermittent sound loss

My main issue is two weeks after geek squad install the sound intermittently drops out. We have to manually turn everything off and back on to get it working again.

Have a home with 4 speakers in ceiling/front wall in family room, along with speakers in living room, office, and master bedroom. Purchased with subwoofer... No issues at this time and works great! Second zone feature is nice to have!! Great value when purchased on sale!!!

BEST RECEIVER EVER HAD

For a change, l wanted a Sony and this receiver did steal my heart of hearts. Yamaha is still good and loud but if you want a quieter and cleaner sound from your home theater then look no further. This Sony is the best receiver hands down that l have ever owned.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far this is a great receiver...it has all the connections I need currently, and what I really like is the user interface that feeds to the TV, it's kinda like a PlayStation 3 menu. Makes the process very easy to setup, instead of having to turn dials on the receiver itself, to change anything.
