I love this receiver! It was a big step from a Pioneer received I bought at Best Buy 7 years ago. I'm still understanding all of the capabilities of this unit, and it sounds great and is easy to use. It works great with my Sony TV.

Receiver was easy to set up with instructions. I have surround sound with ceiling speakers set up in family room with seperate lanai ceiling speakers on different channel. Plays both without an issue from different sources at same time.

I just got into the 4K world and this was the only piece missing and man best choice I have ever made

I purchased this item open box. It came with everything but the calibration mic. Aside from that issue I have really enjoyed this purchase. The Dolby Atmos sounds crazy good. I purchased this model because after doing some research I found that it was the best of 2017 for it’s price point.

Needed a receiver to work with my 4k setup at a quality price, this has achieved those expectations.

I replaced a high end Pioneer receiver that I had purchased about 2-3 years ago. I replaced it, because it didn't do HDR pass-through. I bought an OLED TV so my needs changed. I did some research and started to stick with the Pioneer brand, because it had been good to me and I am pretty brand loyal in some cases.I read review after review and this Sony unit kept popping up. I went to my local Best Buy to look around and saw they had this unit on sale. I went ahead and took a chance on it thinking I could just bring it back if needed. When I got it setup and watched my first movie with Atmos and Dolby Vision, I packed the box it came in with all the packing materials and took it to the trash. You will not be disappointed with this unit. The wireless has been rock steady and the chromecast being built in allows you to listen to Spotify without a premium account. I couldn't be happier with the functionality and performance you get at this price! Highly recommned!

A valuable part of the Sony Core Series Set. The receiver is very useful for setting up the core series speakers for a 5.1/7.1 channel speaker experience and can be easy to start up. Provides HDMI 2.0 capabilities not HDMI 2.1.

This replaced my Pioneer 1020K. I really like how I can watch the same thing on two different TVs.

More than enough power for my living room. The included microphone for auto calibration was crucial for quick setup. It doesn’t have as much punch as my previous STR-ZA3000ES, but for the price, I’m more than satisfied.

Good 5.1.2 receiver, but front right speaaker started making static noise after a year of use. Took to authorized repair center. Didnt take a long time to repair, but getting the replacement part shipped by Sony took 3 weeks.

Overall it is a nice receiver. Fairly easy to set up. The speaker calibration was a little strange, kept showing my rear right speaker with an error message. One drawback it didn’t recognize my fire stick. No hdmi connection would accept the fire stick.

Excellent A/V receiver. Really happy with the sound, my selling point was two dedicated subwoofer outlets along with bass management really makes my speakers and home theater sound magnificent!! Can't beat Sony products.

With my Sony Bravia 900 Series 4K TV this was the addition I needed to complete my Home Theater System......It works and sounds great with all the In and outs that was needed. I could not be more pleased.

Great system, and cannot beat the price. Sound quality is excellent. This Sony Model has many features that even the more expensive Sony Receivers do not have -- for example Bluetooth and wifi. I Would highly recommend.

This receiver was used to replace an old receiver that was unable to handle 4k. I have unbelievable sound throughout the house with this receiver. I have a CD player, 4k DVD player, and an old VCR/DVD player attached along with the new 4k Sony TV.

This receiver is fantastic. I have all my devices going through it including a blu-ray, and an xbox one. It delivers 4k and fantastic surround sound. Having chromecast built in is great too. It has bluetooth as well, but I like casting audio more since with bluetooth you have to be nearby with your device.

I bought this to replace a 5 year old Yamaha that was having issues playing back some DTS audio over HDMI ARC. I have a 3.2 sound setup (I know... why 2 subwoofers and no surrounds?) and the calibration mic included with this receiver is awesome. I placed the mic where I sat in my living room, and let it fly. The mic could pick up how far away each of the speakers were and calibrate so that my center speaker wasn't overpowering the two tower fronts. And the dual subs? I bought a matching pair because I wasn't getting the effect I was wanting with my old receiver... I wish I bought this receiver sooner, because calibrated the crossover from fronts to sub is my opinion perfect.

This is my First Receiver with Dolby Atmos And Dts X and is One of the best receivers. The Features is perfect the sound is brilliant and the movies sound is pure realistic. For now only 1 month no errors so i recomended for those like the sound like a theater

I have had this for 2 months now and really enjoy it. The surround sound is great using my existing speakers. Ithe only regret I have is not buying speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos in order to get the full effects.
