Zone 2 Not As Expected

What is not clear up front is that the “ZONE 2” when powered cuts off power to “SURROUND BACK/HEIGHT” thus not allowing you to enable full 7.1 and a separate zone at the same time. What is also not clear when using “ZONE 2”, you are unable to receive audio from HDMI inputs for pass thru to “ZONE 2”. This can only be achieved by using the additional analog RCA inputs that are included on the amp. All that being said, it is a cost efficient, powerful unit, compared to the other models on the shelf beside it but I should have done more research in its capabilities.

Unfortunately, When speakers are connected to both the SPEAKERS SURROUND BACK/HEIGHT terminals and SPEAKERS ZONE 2 terminals, you can only set which speakers are given priority. And also, Sound is not available from devices connected to the HDMI IN jacks in when using Zone 2. Fairly simple stat up, great great connectivity to all appliances. Prefer going thru Apple TV or Roku for Bluetooth vs Sony operating system.

A little bulky but the sound is spectacular. Had speakers laying around gathering dust. Why not drive them??
