Cannot play audio from video source on 2nd zone

Generally it performs well but I have two issues with it: 1.) There are 2 zones that you can play independent audio on each. However you can only play audio & video on zone 1, but cannot play that same audio on zone 2. So, during football season when I have friends over and have a game on in the great room, I want to at have the audio for the game also play on my 2nd zone which is out on the lanai. However, the Sony engineers decided to save a few cents and not add another multiplexor circuit to allow the audio from the video source being played on the 1st zone to also be selected and played on the 2nd zone at the same time. 2.) Issue 2 - when initially starting to play any audio on the 2nd zone, if the volume is down below a level of 12-15 only the amplifier on the 2nd zone for the left speaker activates and plays, no sounds comes out of the 2nd (right) speaker unless I first crack the sound up to a volume level to over 20-22. Then the sound for the 2nd speaker kicks in (which is too loud). I can then reduce the volume back down to the 12-15 level and the sound stays on for both speakers. I have to do that every time.

The ZONE 2 component output jacks on the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver will output analog video signals only. To output a signal from the ZONE 2 jacks, the source device must be connected to one of the composite or component inputs on the A/V receiver.
