I have a pioneer elite (old 301) it won’t pass Dolby vision .. and neither does this SONY .. I assumed that a newer (Sony) receiver would fix this but nope ..I got it for killer price so Im keeping it .. I’m using it in master BR, replaced sound bar. works fine with old Apple TV ..

When you use high bandwidth video formats such as 4K/60p 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4K/60p 4:2:0 10 bit, a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet, which can support bandwidth up to 18 Gbps, is required.
If your TV has a similar menu for high bandwidth video format, check the setting on the TV menu when you set [HDMI Signal Format] to [Enhanced format] on this receiver. For details on the setting of the TV menu, refer to the operating instructions of the TV.

I do have rear , front , center , sub, and ceiling speakers. Other receivers needed to run my entertainment system comes at a much higher cost. So far I am very pleased with my new Sony!
