I just put it on the shelf, sit down in front of it and stare at it. Don’t talk to it but give me time. Maybe I will. Sure looks good. Girlfriend is kinda wondering what’s going on. I don’t blame. Can’t wait to see the look on her face when I tell her that I’ve found a new love.

Good option for a secondary viewing room

Amplification is good, controls are good, and it powers 7 speakers well. In this case I needed a solid performer at a lower price for a secondary viewing location and that is what this receiver is. For a primary viewing location swing for a Marantz or Denon if your budget can bear it or you have a really nice speaker system.

Great power for theater system & can use 7.2 or 5.1 configuration. Works great with my Samsung Curved 4kUHD TV & all my other electronics, (4K Blu-ray player, DTV & Xbox One X). The Sony receiver automatically senses the input device & receiver switches to that input. Very convenient thus reducing the juggling of remotes.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 3 center speakers and 2 rear speakers built in to the ceiling... that specific configuration option does not appear to be in the EasySetup so I ended up configuring it all manually through the menus. Still a great experience. Not sure if I can get my Sony TV to talk to it so I don't have to have separate remotes, but I love the receiver and use Bluetooth via my phone for music, Apple TV and a Sony blue ray player. All simple to switch to and from.
