WONDERFUL Home Theater System!

I upgraded from a Onkyo 5.1, which was very old and finaly gave out. I was wanting to stay with Onkyo, but they had nothing I liked, so I chose this Sony. Good Choice! It's taken a while to get the settings right, but it gives you wide flexibility to adjust everything to your liking! Very good system for this price range!!

I have Bose Soundtouch and it connects easily to music services and can be controlled by app on my phone. Sony has limited music services. None that I use. You can listen to music using bluetooth from your phone with Sony, but for the price I expected same or better than the Bose.

It sometimes has trouble switching screens when user input requires it. I tried moving it around in case it was a remote beam blockage, but it didn’t help. Once configured it works well. It’s definitly not for audiofiles as I have a good set of old Klipsch speakers set up on it, but still delivers some hiss, filtering could be better.

Biggest complaint is the radio antenna - don’t get a great signal and Sony uses a proprietary connection making it more difficult to extend the wire or connect to a coaxial cable antenna. Overall I think it is a good unit.
