I was happy to get a nearly perfect open box item from Best Buy. A solid unit so far, no issues.

Humming and keep warm in standby. What?

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have a quiet room, you will hear a low hum coming from the receiver when music is not playing or even when it's in standby (transform hum or something else). It also keep the unit warm in standby. In standby, it's not as warm as when it's being used, but the heat is there. I have it in the cabinet with doors. I close the doors when it's not being used, so I don't want heat in there. The only way not to have the hum and the heat is to unplug it. I had the Marantz SR-5007 plugged into the same outlet before. However, the Marantz was dead quiet and not warm at all in standby. For these reasons, I will return this product.

I have it wired to my surround sound in the house, my TV, Firestick and my turntable. On Zone 2 I have my outside speakers. I only gave it four stars because you need to be on bluetooth to have Zone 2 work which is a little bit of a hassle.

Best Receiver You Can Buy!

Finally gave up and bought this. A million times better. Plug it in and it works right away. Sound is incredible, plenty of power to drive four sets of speakers, and just a breeze to set up and use. This is as good as it gets.

Done. The only one problem I have is that when Casting through my Google Home then Sub does not work. I don't think that is an issue with the receiver it self. I believe casting doesn't support the 5.1. Other than that the system can put out a lot of sound.

Not great with "smart" connections. Like if you want to just stream music from your phone, it's a dated system. If you want to change up your speaker zones, it would be nice to have a button on the controller. But other then that, it's quality.

More deep and immersive and goes with projector nicely. More hdmi inputs than my blue ray version I replaced also. I used the included mic to calibrate and good to go.
