Some that I like the most are the165Wx7, 6 HDMI's in, 7.2 surround and the wireless play back. I use the wireless play back every day. My phone knows me best and has all of the app's and music I like. The guided set up was easy and fast, Was connected to my Wi-Fi, up and running in less than 5 minutes. Some cons are the on-screen response is slow from the time you push a button and it responds, The remote it self just feels cheap and is missing some input buttons I would like. Over all I am super pleased with this unit. And would highly recommend it.

Great A/V Receiver for all your 4K needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded my home theater system due to the transition to everything 4K with a recent purchase of a Sony XBR55X900E HDR TV. My previous receiver was an STR-D750 with only Dolby TrueHD. The main reasons I upgraded were 1) Cost - $399.99 Black Friday special, $200 off retail price 2) 4K inputs - there are 6 in and 2 outs, and 3) Dolby Atmos compatibility. I'm currently running a 7.2 speaker setup with Polk Audio towers in the front, Polk bookshelf speakers for the side surrounds and Polk bipole/dipole for rear surround, with a Polk 10" sub and JBL 12' sub. Holy Moly - this new receiver awakened a beast in my home theater that I didn't know existed!!! Audio set up is so easy with the included room audio sensor. It automatically calibrates your speakers based on distance and type. My left speaker was not connected correctly and was instantly warned and able to troubleshoot and fix the issue. Powerwise, this receiver is perfect for medium sized rooms. My current theater room is 25' x 20', so this receiver was a perfect fit. I got decent bass with my previous setup, but Atmos and the power this receiver pushes out has truly maximized my subwoofers' potential. I'm hearing things I only heard in the theater with this new sound field! (Ex. Fifth Element opening scene when spaceship lands and ramp lowers, deep bass!!!). 4K video and HDR runs perfectly through the receiver and one of the main reasons for the upgrade. I'm running a 4K bluray player, Apple TV 4K and a PS4 Pro w/4K through this receiver plugged into the ARC HDMI port on my Sony TV with no issues. I recommend you upgrade your HDMI cables to those cable of UltraHD 4K so you get max resolution and HDR. Many people don't get HDR because they are using old HDMI cables. The six (6) rear HDMI inputs and two (2) outputs make this receiver very versatile. On-screen GUI is a nice touch to keep everything organized dialed in. Other nice touches are the Bluetooth audio capabilities. I run Apple Music on my iOS devices so connecting wirelessly was a cinch. Sound quality is as expected, with nice touches like album/track/artist information on the screen as it is playing. I have been a Sony-phile for decades and they have never let me down. This is my seventh A/V receiver from them and I've journeyed from Hi-Fi VHS with Dolby Surround, DVD with Dolby Digital, Blu-Ray with Dolby TrueHD and now 4K Blu-Ray with Dolby Atmos. Highly recommended for your 4K needs.
