Definitely improves dialogue clarity, as well as movie and music sound quality. Not sure it would be powerful enough for a larger family room-type space, but for the price, it fit the bill perfectly for our smaller "second family room". Very easy hook-up, even for a non-techie person like me.

I mounted it below tv and like other reviews stated the soundbar is not much louder than tv speakers but the sub does add just enough bass to make it worth it. Got it on sale so performance at price purchased makes me a happy camper.

It sounds good but could be more crisp. Like I said it's good for the price we paid. I like the low profile design. Fits below the Tv's screen height. Good for a small room. If you're buying for your living room you better spend a little more money.
