Followed advice advice of sales rep & bought the unit. The sub-woofer sits next to my couch. Big action movies like 'Pacific Rim' and regular TV shows with subtle sound effects are more immersive.

I love this sound bar, I bought it because my mom has hearing problems and she needed the TV to be Louder than normal. With this item she can hear her favorite shows and she is happy!

Works best with smart tvs. My current tv doesn't have arc inputs so I literally cannot hook this up to my tv and it doesn't have bluetooth either. But hooks up well to Bluetooth devices.

Recently, bought the Samsung soundbar and was unhappy with thepurchase because it wasn't connecting correctly to my Sony TV. So went back and returned the soundbar for the Sony Soundbar. It has been awesome so far. Shuts off when not in use for a certain amount of time. Pairs great with any Sony TV.

This unit had respectable sound quality for the money. My only drawback was that the unit did not work with the Sony TV remote. It was a much better alternative to the TV speakers.

It is good sound bar but i will suggest buy upgrades one. This has issue with syn wooffer means sometime wooffer doesn't link up with soundbar and you will have to do many.

Perfect amount of control for our "apartment" sized space aboard our yacht. Fit perfect under the TV taking no additional counter space. Easily stowed bass unit behind salon furniture and, best part, NO wires. (other than power) Fantastic sound. Unit turns on when activate Bluetooth on phone. Cool!

I was pleased with the sound bar bass sound but i feel it still needs higher sound. Sometimes i feel i have to crack up the sound to almost max to get a good sound and bass out of it.

Haven't had any issues - both sound bar and sub woofer offer great sound. Only issue is the way the cords are set up behind sound bar...just doesn't make too much sense.

This is a pretty decent sound bar for the price. It has good bass sounds and is great for movies and regular TV watching. Has connection via HDMI ARC, Analog, or Optical.

I am having some issues with this sound bar! When I shut the Soundbar off the subwoofer does not always go into standby mode! I have to unplug the unit to get it working again!

This is an OK soundbar, I bought it as an open box for really cheap so I can't complain but for full price I believe there are better ones with a lot more to offer. Just my opinion.

I did my research before buying and saw all the negative feedback but it went on sale so I thought I'd find out for myself. As stated by others the soundbar by itself is probably as loud or maybe a little louder than tv speakers, but when the sub is on it is better with some pretty good bass. Perfect for the bedroom, if it was in the living room I'd probably be disappointed. But honestly it's a entry level soundbar and sub not true surround sound system. If you're shopping for a quiet room tv it'll do just fine.

In use with a panasonic tv. Not overly impressed with sound quality at normal room hearing. Ok in movie mode with a dvd player and the volume very high. Expected more from Sony.

I purchased this item to get a deeper, richer sound experience and it delivered. The difference between using just the tiny speakers that came with my Sony smart TV and this is dramatic.

Easy to install decent sound I like the variation in settings and overall nice TV 10 times better than just the factory sound of the tv, so for the price you can't go wrong

I purchased the Sony HTCT390 soundbar and need the remote code to program a universal remote. Sony service is terrible, refused to share thee code, and told me I need to buy a Sony TV in order to control the volume, which is wrong. Had I not discarded the box I would return the unit. Sound quality is ok but the Sony remote is useless, and it is not possible to link to a non-Sony TV remote. BTW, Don't buy Sony soundbars.

This was a gift for my husband but he returned it because it wasn't loud enough for him. I thought it was fine. He did go up to the next Sony product and he seems to like it.

I got to say this system is a great value for the price. Sub had some static issues depending on where it is placed. All and all its way better than built in tv speakers.

I was looking for a good quality inexpensive system for a bedroom. This does the job. I read other reviews on this system and have not had any issues that some experienced.
