If you have a decent size HD or UHD screen and are looking for a little extra sound, as well, this Sony system is a great option. It has some of the newest features, like Dolby Atmos. If you’re screen or your living room is on the bigger size you may want to consider something with a little more kick but I’m betting that most listeners would be very happy with the boost in sound you’ll get from this Sony. It drastically improves the sound coming from your TV. We also use it to Bluetooth our music to the system. I wish there was an additional hook up to pair with at least two devices, like tv box and DVR player. You need to get the next highest version to get that at a much higher coast. This works for the needs stated above

The bass is a little week and the speakers sound cheap. The best part about this is the night mode when people are sleeping. But then it just sounds like TV speakers.

Please note the subwoofer has a 12 step adjustment via the remote, and you can also increase the gain level of the subwoofer an additional 6dB if you access the onscreen Graphical User Interface (GUI) menu. We recommend you set up the listening distances as well to help customize the listening experience to your room.
