It does not always work when cutting the TV on. We have had problems with this item since we bought it. Best Buy blames the cable company and the cable company (Comcast) blames Best Buy. Who cares whose fault it is, just fix it so it always works!!!

It's a simple Sony Sound bar

Pricey for $400 (was a $600 sound bar...) 2. Not as loud as the 3.1 sound bar (if using for a larger living room). 2. No wired or wifi connection (needs to use USB drive to update software)

I purchased a model below grade a few years brand new but got this one open-box. I can definitely tell the difference in system the moment I turned this one on.

Good sound, quirky connections.

Sometimes the sound comes on even when the TV is turned off.

I knew nothing about the Sony soundbar when I purchased the TV so I bought the sound system entirely based on Amazon shoppers recommendations. If you are not computer savvy (like me), then I suggest you get your young nephew or niece to help with the installation of this equipment. Then, fasten your seatbelt, because this makes your TV a cinema or a live sporting event, and a rock concert, with no more effort than pushing a factory pre-set button, which I do, or, you can instruct the entire system to meet your specific audio qualifications.
