For it to be only 2.1 it dies the job quite well I love it

Sounds great and upscales my computer resolution as well.

This system was paired with a 65" Sony tv for general use in my living room/ kitchen area. Works great for its intended purpose which is to watch sports in the background while busy cooking, entertaining or doing some other daily life activity.

Amazing product! Great sounds and can get expremley loud.

Sound bar is awesome. So much better than tv speakers.

Love the sound quality. Only drawback is that connecting it a sony tv is kind of complicated. I ended up just connecting it with a cord because the sound share was difficult to set up then stopped working soon after.

This is a nice system, I ended up trading it in for the Sony 3.1 system since I can add the two rear speakers to it later and turn it into a 5.1 system. This one will not allow you to add rear speakers.

got the soundbar, its sounds very good all the boom is there when it is needed BUT Atmos is bearly noticeable. If you are buying it for Atmos, I will suggest looking somewhere else but if you have a small room it might work. Another problem I started to have is sound is starting to cut off right in the middle, it will be working fine but then boom sound is gone. you have to switch the input to tv and then back again to soundbar then it will start working again. I only reason I bought it is to go with the sony tv. overall its a decent soundbar not bad.

My previous sound bar failed me and so I began looking for a new one that was more upscale than the HT-CT290. I use this new sound bar in conjunction with a Sony X900E and it is truly a perfect match as it was intended. The style is the same and the sound is spectacular.

I was originally hesitant about purchasing this for Dolby Atmos. While not as good as full blown multichannel speaker system, it works great in my family room and you really feel as if you are in the scene. Subwoofer gives off a great amount of sound and its separately adjustable from the regular audio

Bought the Sony soundbar system for my new Sony 65" 4K TV. The sound is great. Is not in a very large room so it is plenty powerful for my needs. Stayed with the Sony brand; speaks for itself. TV speakers on the backside so needed a soundbar to project sound into room. Perfect accessory!

First the sound bar looks great. The sound is excellent. Didn't notice big difference between this sound bar and other high end sound bars but all in all nice.

the sound is decent. i have a samsung that i compare it to. i dont like the fact i cant program it like i can the samsung

I tested this soundbar and although the sound was good, the subwoofer lacked some punch. Ended up exchanging for a different soundbar.

This is a perfect companion with my Sony - 65" Class - LED - X900F Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR. It's not the top of the line but it still sounds great! Very happy with my purchase!

I have tried multiple soundbars and this was the one that worked the best. It still has kind of a hollow sound but much better than the TV speakers and better than any other soundbar I tried.

I purchased this sound bar to use it with a Sony tv. It works really good The only things I didn’t like about it is the size of the subwoofer and the remote control is bulky and hard to use.

The sound which emanates from just the two speakers on the sound board are very well balanced! Then when coupled with the 7.5" subwoofer it's a match made in audio heaven!
