small, easy pairing with TV, and clear voices

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Sony 2.1 channel soundbar to improve sound and voices for my 65 inch Sony flatscreen TV. Did not want anything too big, and did not want a separate subwoofer. Picked this Sony soundbar because I thought it would pair easily with the Sony TV set, and I was right! Connected the soundbar with an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on the TV, went into TV menu and changed audio out from "TV speakers" to "external speakers." When I turned the TV set on with my cable TV remote, the sound was automatically routed to the soundbar (which also powered on), and the volume control on the cable remote controls the soundbar volume automatically, so I don't have to use the soundbar remote for anything. Voices and dialogue are much clearer through the Sony soundbar than the TV speakers.

Perfect soundbar for the medium size of room

I decided to try this one because this one is built in subwoofer therefore it saves the space in the room. Sounds does good when watch movies and tv.

Starting with 2000, it lost its luster and reputation. I, too, gave up on the brand. Just installed a gaming computer and needed to boost up some thunderous sound effect so I decided to augment with a soundbar without breaking the bank. I listened to a few mid-priced sound bars including Sony. Some high-end soundbars were terrific but the price was restrictive. Other curious shoppers in the area complimented the sound effect of Sony and offered their "Thumbs Up" to Sony. I am pleased with the sound, ease of installation, and Blue-tooth capability.
