It has a "subwoofer" that makes the overall sound quality good enough for the bedroom. It hooked right up to my Sony TV using HDMI thus the TV volume control controls the volume of the soundbar.

The Bluetooth and ARC functionalities work perfectly. The overall sound isn’t necessarily louder than the built-in speakers but it’s a lot clearer and the audio is more “fleshed out”. Highly recommended at the sale price.

I needed a single component with no additional speakers that was for a small space. I have it connected to a 24" Insignia Fire TV. The sound from the TV alone was not sufficient. The soundbar has definitely increased the sound so it can be heard across the room but sometimes I hear some vibration, which I don't like. One of the speakers is on the bottom of the unit and is not covered. I'm not sure if this is typical or not but it seems odd to have an unprotected speaker on the underside of the unit. It is an OK soundbar and has been suitable for what it was needed for.

Good sound, but maybe not a good choice with Roku

We use a Roku stick instead of cable box. Went to BB to buy a Roku sound bar, and salesman steered me to this one instead but never compared it to the Roku sound bar. Overall, pleased with the sound and the built-in woofer, as we did not want a separate woofer. However, I think I should have bought the Roku sound bar instead, as the Roku remote sometimes works with this, but other times we must use the Sony remote - and we hate that. And the sound level sometimes displays on the TV screen, and sometimes does not. I believe this may be due to the broadcast source through the Roku stick.... Xfinity Stream vs. Netflix vs. Prime, but am not sure.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. The HTS200F soundbar features Control for HDMI function. Connecting a device such as a TV or Bluray Disc player compatible with the Control for HDMI function (System Audio Control) using an HDMI cable enables you to easily operate the device by using a TV or Bluray Disc player remote control.
Additional information about System Audio Control Function:
If you turn on the Sound Bar while you are watching the TV, the TV sound will be output from the speakers of the Sound Bar. The volume of the Sound Bar can be adjusted using the TV remote control.
When you turn on the TV, the Sound Bar is turned on automatically and the TV sound is output from the speakers of the Sound Bar.
Operations can also be made by the TV’s menu. For details, refer to the operating instructions of your TV.
For more information, see "Using the Control for HDMI Function" on page 27 of the manuals.

Worth it for around $100

Sound is better then expected, but the bass from the built in "subwoofer" will leave you wanting more. Will work best in an small to medium size room. Since it is connected by HDMI (ARC) to the TV, you can throw out the remote. Very easy to use.

Great sound bar for the price

This fit the bill perfectly. It doesn't necessarily fill the room with sound like some of the more expensive soundbars with separate subwoofers, but it is a lot better than the TV built in speaker. I was lucky enough to find this as an open box item and got it for a great price. If you are looking for an inexpensive soundbar to get you better sound, this will do the trick. The ARC-HDMI connection allows you to use your TV remote to control the sound and the on/off of the soundbar as well.

Its a nice soundbar for a small room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this sony soundbar for my sony 4k TV and the sound bar pretty much sounds like the TV but with extra bass , maybe because sony tvs have good speakers already but this sound bar basically sounds the same with more bass which is still good when you watch movies and listen to music i enjoy this soundbar but if you want something for your living room to impress guess I would buy a different soundbar this soundbar is just for your bedroom , and at first I thought it didn't work but that's only because you need to set the volume to at least 40 or 50 to hear it i havent tried full at 100 but if you have it at 60 and 70 it starts to sound like at the theaters so maybe at 100 your neighbors might hear it
