I will say that I ended up returning this item - not because of an issue, but because it would not work in my TV cabinet. It works well and sounds good. The bonus is the 3 HDMI ports that are built in, so if your TV is out of ports, this is a great solution to that problem.

I love my new SONY soundbar. Aside from making my TV viewing more theatre-like, it's amazingly good for listening to music CD's played on my Blueray player.

Since I recently purchased a 4K TV, I knew I would need a sound bar that provided a little more than just louder volume for movies and TV programming. I also wanted something that would be able to easily communicate with other electronic devices, so I can play music. This unit is extremely easy to set up and very easy to operate. I like the fact that you can change the sound field setting, so it appropriately matches what you are listening to (i.e. music, movie, sports, etc.). I wish I had a little more control over the sound settings, but for the price, this is really a minor complaint.

Sony HT-CT780 is a great sound bar and sub woofer combination. Out of the box, it is simple to setup, easy to follow instruction sheet, and syncs to Bluetooth devices easily. Bass was not thunderous but it was tight and controlled. There was no delay and reverb, which is a positive.All in all, it’s a great sound bar and bass system that will give your movies, music, and TV superior sound than factory TV speakers. The price is mid-range compared to other systems. The quality is everything one would expect from Sony. This system is worth purchasing and adding richer sound to your TV and music.

This Sony sound bar system is the bomb. plenty loud enough. I love the fact that the sub is wireless and never gives me any issues. Great product.

After I purchased the new Samsung 4K Blu-Ray player, I noticed that I was able to get HDR through HDMI Input port #1 on this soundbar. It appears that the port is not 2.0a compatible yet, just 2.0 (2.0a is required for HDR). Maybe later with a firmware update?

At medium volume the dialog is clean while the subwoofer vibrates your core. It does seem like they were designed specifically for a theatre experience which is precisely what I bought it for. When playing music, however, you probably should change modes and turn down the subwoofer a bit as 808's are a bit less clean in standard mode. But at least you can set it up how you want it. I'm pretty happy with the system- this works great with most films, and decently so with even the michael bay **** (if you love transformers, you probably want a 5-7 speaker setup).

I researched them online and actually went to the store with buying something cheaper in mind. After listening to quite a few I settled on the Sony due to the sound quality and price.

Wanted something that would eliminate all the wires in the floor without sacrificing sound. Read a lot of reviews on soundbars before deciding on the Sony HTCT780. Great sound quality.

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this and after purchasing and now using for last 2 weeks playing games, watching blurays, tv, sports. I think it is a good product but wish I had spent more and got the 7.1 sony soundbar which was $799 at the time .

I have a Sony TV and decided to go with this sound bar/subwoofer. The sound is incredible! Great surround sound quality without having to mount several speakers like other surround sound systems. Works seamlessly with my Sony TV and PS4

In addition to listening to tv and movies on this, I also listen to quite a bit of music- especially classical. This sound bar by far has the best sound I've heard for something under $500. I would most definitely buy this system again!

Set up quick great for playing music from phone or even talking Function menu for setup is confusing and setup for hdmi ports can be confusing when using arch feature. The sound is great overall

I bought this for my parents for Christmas bc they were having a hard time hearing their tv. So far, they are very happy and the voices are much clearer then their regular tv speakers.

This sound system is incredible. You feel like you are sitting dead center of all the action. Freeway chases in movies sound like they are happening right behind you. while explosions hit all around you. Awesome system for 400

I bought this after returning the Samsung sound bar from Costco. I really wanted the top of the line Sony - but had to draw the line somewhere. Sounds good with my 65 inch flat screen

Good value for the money although the 2.1 channels leaves the sound a bit flat in some action scenes, 7.1 would have been better but more hassle to setup, not sure it's worth the bother to upgrade to 7.1 for us mere mortal non-audiophiles

This sound bar does the job pretty good. Its not as loud as I would want it for the 350 Price Tag, but it is a sony product and that's what got me. You cant go wrong with sony. Get it while its on sale and it becomes a better deal.

Would highly recommend thus item. Love the sound quality. Excellent bargain.
