This sound bar is a fantastic value. I love the sound this system puts out from regular TV shows, movies, and music. It's versatile and affordable. The only issue I have is having to shut everything down to go to bed!

I bought the sound bar to compliment my new Sony Bravia 4k 55" TV and it transforms the sound quality. The 4 HDMI ports make it easy to add accessories like the Sony Blu-Ray player which was included as part of the bundle and interchange with other streaming options like Apple TV. The only minor criticism which was pointed out by a previous reviewer was that if the Sony TV is mounted on the supplied stand and the sound bar placed in front then the TV remote control sensor at the base of the screen is obscured. Not a problem if you're wall mounting the TV but something to be aware of when setting up the TV/sound bar combination. Easily overcome by using packing to raise the height of the TV. A special mention to Best Buy as well, excellent Customer Service!

For a soundbar in the mid priced category this a nice piece..preequalized sound modes,multiple HDMI connections,and Hi Res audio playback.Not to mention Bluetooth,a wide soundstage,and killer wireless subwoofer..when looking for a high quality bar with a mid level price point..give this one a shot. .Sony's HT-CT780

Was easy to connect and setup. However even though it's connected to a Sony TV, you need two remotes to control the volume and change channel via a cable box. Option was to set the aux button on the cable remote to control the sound bar, but still need to press another button instead of being simply controlled thru the TV button. Also the setup called for the HDMI cable to go thru the soundbar then to the TV. When turning on/off the soundbar, lost sound for a few seconds. This also setup became a problem when the soundbar stop sending the picture to the TV after a few weeks. Disconnecting the HDMI cable and running it directly to the TV, then an optical audio cable from the TV to the sound bar cured the issue.

Was tired of not having quality sound from my television, so I did much needed research on a soundbar. I always heard the reputation on the Sony's were amazing, and this model is your perfect solution. Living in an apartment, I needed something portable that'll pack the whole room. I'd go for it!

The Sony Sound Bar was the best choice for me since a lot of the cheaper ones don't have the option to adjust the Base. I just wanted a louder volume then my normal TV speaker, and this speaker is everything that I wanted and more.

I purchased the Sony HTCT780 to go with our Sony 49" LED - 2160p - Smart 4K HD TV. It was a perfect match and set-up was easy. I have the TV and Soundbar in our Armoire and they fit perfectly inside. The sound quality is awesome and the subwoofer has plenty of depth. I would buy again!!

Was hesitant about purchasing my first Sound Bar, over a home entertainment system. But after reading/researching it thoroughly, I chose this Sound Bar (as it was also on sale). I have to say, the box it comes in was much bigger than I had anticipated, but after a quick 4 minute set-up (and cutting down the box to recycle), it was up and running. The sound is amazing for such a small piece of equipment. The companion subwoofer is also superb. Do NOT regret purchasing this. Would purchase it again.

The Included wireless subwoofer that comes with this kit is the best part of this system, it almost made it worth keeping, I can't say enough about how pleasant it was to be able to put the subwoofer anywhere in the room I wanted without having to worry about cords running through the ceiling or any of that mess. However i did have the same complaint with this sound bar that I have against every sound bar that I've heard, they just do not provide enough rich midrange tone. I don't even think it is possible for a soundbar to produce the kinds of tone I want.. In the end it just sounded like loud tv speakers with a ridiculously good subwoofer.

This soundbar is where it's at. It has excellent sound and bass that'll make you feel like your at the movies in my opinion. It's very easy to setup also. I recommend...

Hadn't considered buying this until I saw it in the store and listened to the difference it made in the sound. Incredible sound quality, really helps define dialogue in particular. Really happy that I bought this!

This is my first sound bar purchase so I'm no expert but so far I'm very happy with the performance. Have it hooked up to a new Sony XBR55X810C and it sounds great. Only downside is that I have everything controlled though the cable remote and I have to hold the remote up high to turn all units off. Thinking about moving the sound bar down one shelf of the TV stand. I'm not sure if that will impact the surround sound quality or not. Overall a big improvement over TV speakers!

This was just what we needed to enhance the sound from our new flat screen. The picture was great but the speakers left something to be desired! Packaging was excellent, installation was a breeze and our shows sound so much better. Great buy at a great price.
