The sound is loud and base is good. Only thing we don't like is how long it takes to connect to the TV and sometimes it doesn't connect. It basically connects right when it wants to. I would recommend but for a lower price.

I purchased this to improve the sound of my TV. After hooking it up, which was quite easy, and turning it on, the quality was no better then the tv speakers. Additionally, even at full volume, the sound was not very loud

Decent sound, but not like a sound system. Decent price.

This sound bar is OK for TV and movies, but just OK. I wouldn't call the sound good. It has a LOT of treble, no mid-range and weak bass. definitely not for music. For more than $300, I expected better results.

Works well, though I couldn't get it to do hdmi passthru from my home theater pc. I ended up doing hdmi to my tv and digital output from my tv to the soundbar. Other than that, I love the options- the sound quality is pretty good and the price was great!

This soundbar just didn't have much punch and a very low subwoofer. After a week I brought it back and switched it for the Klipsh and I haven't regretted it at all even if it cost me a couple hundred more. Sorry Sony, it wasn't much better the TV speakers

Bought this to replace a 12 year old surround sound system that was starting to have issues. Since we have a small living room this worked rather well. Like the fact that it integrates with the Sony TV and we only need to use one remote.

Fantasia for the price. Does wonders in the bedroom while I'm gaming. Great sound feedback. Drawbacks are only that it'll take you a while to figure out how to set up your 4k audio. I have it running with my xbox one and vizio smart tv.

A bit pessimistic at first but speakers were amazing paired with 55inch Samsung. Great deep bass with outstanding kids and highs. The Sony app for android works flawlessly and better than physical remote.

The customer service rep suggested this soundbar after a 40 min of walking back and forth trying to decide. The bar gets the job done for a increase in sound and bass. Way better than standard sound you get from tv speakers.

The fact that it is two channels really limits the sound quality. Most of the audio was missing from tv shows and movies. I had it 10 hours and took it back. Spend a few extra dollars and get a higher quality sound bar

The Sony sound bar works well, with no challenges once connected to the TV. TV is also a Sony (Bravia 4k). Based on the performance, we will consider purchasing Sony sound bars for our other TVs, larger ones to fit the size of the TVs and rooms.

this sound bar has a surround sound like sound. fills the room with sound with great low to high tones. the pass though for video seems to lag at initial start up, although does return to normal operation otherwise.

Maybe I biased as you to have 5.1 surround sound system but that wasn't ideal in my new home. On the plus, it has 3 HDMI, optical and Bluetooth inputs. One thing I didn't like is that it doesn't remember the audio settings for each of the input. So if like using the "movie" sound field for your DVD input but the "music" sound field for music on Bluetooth or any other setting like the subwoofer volume then you have keep switching back and forth when switch to a different input source.

This sound bar met my expectations and some but hook it up with the optical cable not HDMI. HDMI caused arching and sound was cutting in and out. Only downside of optical cable is u have to use sound bar remote for volume and can't use tv remote.

Hooked up to my TV to hopefully get higher volume and better sound. But it was no louder than my TV. Bought computer speakers for half the price and got way better sound.

Good product. Sometimes issues with the subwoofer connecting, but it's cordless. but it sounds like a theatre for the most part. I'd recommend it to a friend.

This sound bar and sub woofer are perfect for our living room. Great sound options from movies - sports- and 3 clear voice settings. It's having a movie experience in our home

While I'm use to listen to my movies with the standard speakers that come with my TV , these speakers inhance my movie expierance ! Action movies sound more alive , sports the same ! Great toys for my entertainment center !
