I could only get this to play in analog... I really like the product company personally and i highly recommend Sony to everyone. However I was very disappointed in this product and returned it and got something with wires. True, I am only a beginner with some knowledge about this kind of stuff.. but it was difficult for me to get it working and setup.... so after days of frustration<more like 48 hrs> i took it back.

The SONY HTCT380 Soundbar w/ Subwoofer was a great addition to my home theatre sound...until it just stopped working 6 months after I bought it. Now I have to send it to SONY under warranty - Seems wrong. Best Buy will tell you 'Shoulda bought to extended protection plan,' but that is complete baloney for a brand new (and $emi-expen$ive) product that stops working less than a year after purchase!

Not enough volume or bass on TV. Music was fine. Getting a Bose system.

The bottom line is its only average. I don't believe I would recommend it to anyone

After reading reviews, thought item would sound decent. but after hooking up to tv, it wasn't much better than tv speakers. except the base obviously, due to subwoofer. and spec stated for width was way off also. and didn't work as described with sony tv. volume level displayed on tv was off from display on sound bar.

I bought this sound bar to pair with my new Samsung 4K TV (UN65JS8500FXZA) and Samsung Blu-ray player (BD-H6500/ZA). I got a great price during the holidays. The sound is amazing, just like theater quality. I love the feature for the 4K pass-through. It has 3 HDMI inputs to connect all your accessories. I was able to move the wireless sub-woofer to different locations in my basement for the best sound. I did not lose Bluetooth connection. I would highly recommend this sound bar for the price and amazing sound quality.

This soundbar replaced an excellent surround system consisting of a Pioneer Elite 140 watt/channel receiver, JBL 380 family speakers, Polk PSW505 sub system that got fried in a lightening strike. It is in the bedroom so I decided to free up some room. Considering what I was used to listening to this soundbar is excellent for the price. The first week was listening to streamed radio stations especially NPR and with that I would give the music 4 stars and voices 41/2. Got the fried TV fixed and connected using a optical cord and streamed Netflix to the TV. Wow getting a Dolby signal sent the sound quality to a new level. This is what it is designed for! Bass is strong, voice quality is very good and the surround quality became apparent. I will admit compared to what it replaced it is not in the same league, but it comes very close. Set up I disabled the sound effects as you do not really need them and they can lower the audio output for some. There is a youtube video on how to do this. Plenty loud, good sound quality takes up almost no room, and bass can thump for it's size. Got an open box deal and very happy.

I am a sony lover. But, this product sucks. Subwoofer sound quality was pathetic. It does not make any difference, and just occupying space . If given a chance for trade in, i will do it immediately.

Very easy to set up, and great sound quality. Love that I can put the sub where ever I want to.

Recently purchased this Sony soundbar and subwoofer and am impressed with the sound,, but it took forever to synchronize with my Vizio tv and Comcast universal remote. Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours getting everything set up. The sound quality is excellent for movies, except at certain moments when you can hear that rattling noise but I'll blame it on the movie I was watching. TV sound quality is different from movies and Bluetooth. I think I would like it better if the sound quality was consistent for different devices.

I would not recommend a sound bar to anyone we had it for about a year and it stopped working just out of the blue .

Either spend more and get a better one or don’t get one. This isn’t worth the money at all

So far so good. Purchased when i bought a 55" inch TV during the day before Thanksgiving sale. Sound is booming. Has different listening options depending upon what you're watching. Movie, Gaming, Sports, etc. Each distinctive and suits each viewing experience.

We hooked this up to the sony kdl75w850c 3d tv also bought from Best Buy. The hook up is easy, so it seemed. We couldn't find the components in the input list going through the sound bar itself, so we went with all components to the tv, then hdmi ark on the tv to the hdmi ark on the soundbar and it fixed everything. Deep, rich bass fills our living room, which is 20x20. This system has plenty of bang for your buck!!!

The sound bar is great. It has really high quality sound that differs from the sound produced by the (cheap) speakers in Sony's new 4K TVs. The instructions to set it up to turn on and off automatically with the TV were a little misleading. I was able to fix it by plugging an HDMI cable into the HDMI ARC Input on my TV and into the HDMI Out on the sound bar while also connecting them via the digital optical audio cable. It works really well, but for some reason I could not get video to pass through the sound bar like it was supposed to (according to the manual) so all inputs just go to the TV which then sends the sound back out to the sound bar. Works really well, no lag, and sound quality is awesome.

I own a Marantz receiver and decided to buy this for my daughter who lives in an apartment. I was surprised to hear the demonstration at the store and decided to buy it. I set this up for my daughter and was i amazed at the clarity and good bass. She was so happy and I set up it up for her with the remote and it has so many options for music, game, sports, etc. was not disappointed at all.

I bought the sony soundbar HT-CT380 yesterday Jun 29, the first I just connected and listen the sound is ok, after I go to menu soundbar setting Bass, Treble ect..the sound totally difference, powerfull and realistic. great job Sony.

The good: Sound is definitely a great improvement over TV's built in speakers. Plus a nice bonus of being able to pair with other devices via NFC - just touched my (non Sony) phone to the NFC mark on the soundbar and in a couple of seconds streaming Spotify to the entire room, and you don't need any of the apps "recommended" by Sony in their manual. The bad: The soundbar blocks the IR receiver on the TV (Sony XBR-55X810C). Pretty unexpected given that it was (should be?!) designed for use with Sony TVs. It should probably have a shape that would leave the IR window unobstructed, but then it would break the clean lines of the soundbar. Ok, if it blocks the IR receiver, it should at least offer an IR passthrough? Nope, nothing like that. I have ordered the IR extender for TV, but it hasn't arrived yet, and it will break otherwise aesthetically pleasing look of TV with a soundbar. So that's a clear design miss (both visual, hardware, and user experience design) The ugly: None so far

Wow after trying 2 times and the HTXT1 from sony to. I switch to this sound bar. Bass is more deep and the clear sound that comes with this baby. I'm very satisfied with these products. The only complaint i have is the location of the hdmi inputs.
