Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i finally decided to upgrade my Asus vg289q1a to take advantage of PS5 120hz while playing FPS title mainly COD Cold War. im not going to lie, my old Asus colors pop out more than this monitor but after using it for a few days, i got used to it. Sony said it automatically detect which games you're playing and auto adjust your preset. this is WRONG! i had to turn off the HDR just to use FPS preset. even if i have HDR set to "only when supported" it doesn't let me switch to FPS gaming preset which is so annoying. i have to turn back hdr on and off depending what games im playing. also, i keep getting black screen "scanning for signal" everytime i close my game and open my PS5. i tried different 2.1 HDMI cables and it still persist.. with this price tag is it worth it? i absolutely not. i would've waited a bit longer for them to address its issues. so, if youre planning on getting this monitor, dont get your hopes up.

This may help resolve your issue with the black screen. Please also make sure that all connections are secured.
The INZONE M9’s Preset picture modes are designed to optimize picture quality for specific use cases. Standard, FPS and Cinema preset modes are tuned for overall balanced performance, optimized for FPS games, and for enjoying cinematic content like streaming movies or videos, respectively. For more customized performance, we recommend using Game 1 or Game 2 and turning off HDR to ensure your customized settings are not overridden.
Please note that the available settings differ depending on Preset mode or input signals:
-When the Preset mode is set as Standard, FPS game, or Cinema: Sony provides optimized picture settings by default, and menu items are grayed out, except Brightness, Local Dimming and Aspect Ratio.
-When the Preset mode is set to Game1 or Game 2: Can be adjusted with desired settings. If Eco mode is on, the menu items are grayed out.
-When the input signal is HDR: Only Local Dimming and the Aspect ratio can be set. For additional brightness, contrast and gamma control, please try changing Black Equalizer setting from 0 – 3, under the Gaming Assist menu.

Ok monitor but bad with wake from sleep.

I had a a quarter of the backlight go out on it. This Sony seems ok. So far no dead pixels. BUT I have the newest firmware M010, and the monitor will not wake from sleep. If my computer is off and I power on, monitor will not wake. If monitor turns off while computer is on, it will not wake. Its connected to a PC via DP connection. I use a up to date Nvidia 2080Ti on a Win11. But the whole wake from sleep is driving me crazy. You have to turn off/on the monitor to power it on and see a picture. Firmware update is crazy. You need to use both the DP and a old style USB-A to USB-B cord. Like what old windows USB printers used.

It looks amazing on games, horizon 5 and cyberpunk….if you have a strong enough PC…I can’t even describe how amazing that looked lol. The stand is “okay” it wobbles a bit, if u bump ur desk or somethin it’ll kinda wobble a tiny bit. It’s a solid stand though, very sturdy. As for PS5 it’s perfect you just plug in your HDMI and that’s it, looks perfect. I have 0 complaints.

Good monitor but, why should I spend when you get one like it for 500-600 dollars. Also, I had Samsung Odyssey G7 broke less than a year. I’m not sure if any of these monitors are worth it! Speaker sounds good in my opinion; my last two monitors didn’t have a speaker. I do wish there was a different kind of toggle for menu navigation and I wish I could get updates through Mac and not just PC; at least I believe they’re only available with PC. But overall I am pleased with the monitor.

I would recommend to use a monitor arm. The app is glitchy, and the USBC power delivery is just too low for it to be useful from a laptop connecting purpose.

You get two HDMI 2.1 ports and high refresh rates. Additional support for PS5 users that detects gaming vs media content and then automatically makes picture adjustments. All the above work flawlessly. The onboard speakers are weak. No denying that. The problem area and what ultimately caused me to return it is the display port. I tried every cable I had and even purchased a new Display Port 1.4 just to ensure it wasn't hardware related. I would get random input switching in the middle of gaming on display port which put my gaming on hold for 30 seconds or more each time. NOT GOOD. I found multiple other reddit posts that indicated a similar issue with this monitor. In summary, great for consoles and HDMI gaming but stay away if using Display Port.
