We regret to hear that you are not having the best experience with the INZONE M9. If you set the Local dimming to Low or Off, this may cause the whole screen to look washed out. You may also try turning off Auto picture mode to resolve the issue.
If you are unable to set your desired Picture Adjustments, please note that the available settings differ depending on Preset mode or input signals:
-When the Preset mode is set as Standard, FPS game, or Cinema: Sony provides optimized picture settings by default, and menu items are grayed out, except Brightness, Local Dimming and Aspect Ratio.
-When the Preset mode is set to Game 1 or Game 2: Can be adjusted with desired settings. If Eco mode is on, the menu items are grayed out.
-When the input signal is HDR: Only Local Dimming and the Aspect ratio can be set. For additional brightness, contrast and gamma control, please try changing Black Equalizer setting from 0 – 3, under the Gaming Assist menu.
If you wish to individually customize your picture quality settings, we recommend turning HDR off and setting your Picture mode to Game 1 or Game 2. When using the INZONE M9 with a Windows PC, we recommend downloading the INZONE Hub software to seamlessly control the monitor settings.

I.E. any dark areas. I took advantage of Black Friday sales and returned this monitor for a 42" LG C2, which is wayyyy better for a very similar price.

I have never been let down so bad.

I set up the monitor and its been an hour and I havent figured out how to set the monitor in FPS, remove ECO Mode, or adjust the brightness. My PS5 has turned off like 3 times in the middle of all of this becuase its like freaking out. The "detecting source" takes like 5 seconds to actually show your screen. So its back to PS4 times with the game loads. 4K video setting your cant enjoy becuase the screen is dark and dull. I mean why do I feel like I need a masters degree to figure out how to work this monitor? if it works at all? ALSO the stand is a very poor design, the power adapter is the size of the Sega Game Gear. I mean man wow i waited a week for this to come out with the launch, and I am heart broken.

The INZONE M9’s Preset picture modes are designed to optimize picture quality for specific use cases. Standard, FPS and Cinema preset modes are tuned for overall balanced performance, optimized for FPS games, and for enjoying cinematic content like streaming movies or videos, respectively. For more customized performance, we recommend using Game 1 or Game 2 and turning off HDR to ensure your customized settings are not overridden.
If your PS5 is unexpectedly turning off, there is a feature called ‘Control for HDMI’ that allows your INZONE M9 monitor and PS5 to be synced via HDMI. In doing so, if you power down 1 device the other will do the same. If you powered down the monitor during your configuration, this may have been the reason for your PS5 turning off unexpectedly. If you prefer, you can simply turn this feature off by going into the Settings, then “Input”, then switching “Control for HDMI” to Off.
That’s odd! Sorry to hear you were not getting a bright and vibrant picture when using the screen at 4K resolution. This should not be the case and is not standard performance as the M9 monitor boasts DisplayHDR 600 certification, meaning the picture will reproduce vivid colors, rich contrast and high peak brightness of 600 nits.

It has everything a gamer could ask for and then some. To begin, the design is really cool. As you probably already know, it was clearly designed to fit along side with the Sony PlayStation 5. And the two sync together to give you a flawless gaming experience by allowing the two to "talk" to each other to select the perfect settings. Personally, I really like the design and I like the stand as well. It's true the the screen can only be raised & lowered and tilted front to back. Not horizontally. Not an issue for me, but something you should know before purchasing. I like the placement of the power button & the control joystick on the back. Easy to get to and responsive. It is a bit thicker than most modern monitors. I can only assume that is to facilitate the Full Array Local Dimming. Also, there is a nice looking accent light on the back that you can change the color of (or turn off) that looks nice. That is if you are into looking at the back of your monitor :-) Honestly, unless you are in a pitch black room you will probably forget the light is even there. Now lets get into what is most important: Performance. I have used it with both a DisplayPort 1.4 cable that allows for 144Hz, and also an HDMI 2.1 cable that allows for up to 120Hz. Honestly, these refresh rate are so close you would really be hard-pressed to notice any difference between the two so run with whatever of the two cables you have. Both look amazing with no tearing. Also, keep in mind that you do get Nvidia G-SYNC capabilities when used with a PC. It wasn't long ago when I thought that getting such a smooth gaming experience with a 4K monitor would be impossible. But do keep in mind that if you use an older HDMI cable (non 2.1) you will only get a 60Hz refresh rate. What I can say is that the picture is razor sharp with vibrant colors. This is true with both gaming and other uses. I've even used it for photo editing and it looks fantastic with accurate colors. Also, you have a ton of customization available either thru the screens built in controls, or the optional download control panel for your computer. I highly suggest downloading this. It makes using the controls much, much easier. So, far I haven't run into a game that doesn't look & perform flawlessly with the M9. So are there any downsides? Well, there are no included cables so that will be an added expense unless you already have some. Switching from one input to another has a little lag but nothing objectionable. These are really more of an annoyance that a drawback. The only real downside is the built in speakers. They are awful! I mean, as in tin can sounding awful. Now admittedly, most gamers are going to be using either a soundbar, external speakers or even more likely headphones. So I'm sure the speakers were an afterthought. However, this is not a cheap monitor and this is Sony, who makes some of the best audio gear in the world. So it's a bit of a surprise that they allowed this to come with such poor speakers. I'm not going to knock any points off for this because good or bad, I was never really going to use the built in speakers when I have good headphones and a great soundbar. But just keep the speakers in mind if you plan to use them. Do I recommend the M9. Absolutely. Provided you are a gamer or have some other reason for the high end specs. But if you are not a gamer and say just a web surfer, it would be overkill for you. But if the specs are what you need I highly recommend it.

Have two - both with issues.

Signal flickers in and out on one, it’s infrequent but happens. Also when signal comes back, it will have washed out colors until a refresh. It also made a weird buzzing noise but restarting it fixed that. Second one just died on us tonight. So less than 60 days in. Unexpectedly just gives a black screen. No troubleshootingnworked - cable swaps, swapped to working ps5…will need to claim warranty. I’ll stick with the lg monitors. Wish this monitor was as good as Sonys tvs and audio. Boo.

Thank you for the feedback of what temporary problems you were having. For the flickering issue, let's try to isolate and resolve this issue by following the troubleshooting steps below:
If there are multiple graphics modes in a game, select a different mode.
Alternatively, you can turn off Enable 120 Hz Output in the PS5™ console’s system settings by going to Settings → Screen and Video → Enable 120 Hz Output → Off.
If the issue still occurs, turn off VRR on PS5 by going to Settings → Screen and Video → VRR → Off.
Please check that the Local dimming is set to Low or Off. This setting may cause the whole screen to look washed out.
For black screen issue, this may be an indication that there is a loose connection or an incorrect setting. Please follow the troubleshooting steps on the link below to resolve the issue.

To my dismay, who keeps searching for my DP signal, and then go on a black screen. There are no options in the menu to make any adjustments other than different sources. I have a Z790 with the I nine1300 K, 64 gig of DDR5 and a Nvidia 3090 TI with 24 gig. Really no reason why this thing shouldn’t work.

You can unplug the cable and plug it back again to isolate the issue. If still the same, turn off the monitor by pressing the power button. Unplug the power cable and let the monitor remain without power for 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet then turn on the unit. If still unresolved, you can also use a different DisplayPort cable to further isolate the issue. Feel free to test the monitor again and verify if it resolves the issue.

Unreliable in dual monitor setup

First, the Displayport 1.4 implementation on this monitor doesnt appear to wake from sleep reliably. Turning the monitor off for a minute and then back on worked - but thats not an acceptable solution. Also, the 'KVM' on this monitor isn't really KVM. All in all, just not a great value at all - Was super disappointed.

It looks great, fits the PS5 aesthetic, and performs very well, whether you like fps games, sports games, or otherwise. I highly recommend it. I was on the fence after reading of some of the other users reviews, as it seems Sony may have a bit of QC issues with this product. But, if you you get the unit i did, you will be very pleased, as I haven’t experienced any of the issues people have mentioned. Overall, great monitor.
