Speakers sound good and offer dobly atmos can be mounted on top of tower speakers or from the wall.

great sound! not bad size. fit on the shelf and kinda fit right in.

I have now had these speakers for awhile and can definitely say that they are a great purchase. After initially having them on top of my front speakers, I finally got around to installing them on the wall above the big screen. Running them off my excellent Onyko receiver, these help fill the room whether it be listening to music or enjoying a 4K movie. Definitely recommend these.

They sound great and add a little atmospheric touch that was missing before. Compact and light. I have them on top of my left rigjt front towers, and can notice a difference for ambient sounds in movies.

Nice add on height speakers. I have some really nice studio speakers that I refuse to part with and wanted to use my atmos receiver. While just a hair bigger than my existing speakers, fit nicely on top. Adds a nice dynamic to a room with cathedral ceilings. The ultimate seal of approval was my teenage daughter complaining about it he movies being even louder.

I recently had a slightly older Sony receiver die on me so i had to get a new one. The replacement receiver came with atmos support so i picked these up to check out. I can confirm they work and the format does aim to bounce the sound off the ceiling. The receiver must be set up to do this otherwise it will be treated as any other 7.1 speakers. I think the correct designation would be 5.1.2.

I purchased these at this price point for a situation that is not permanent and where installing in-ceiling speakers is not an option. Nothing substitutes for an actual ceiling install, but I am pleasantly surprised with the Atmos experience produced by these. I placed them on a top shelf on either side of the TV (instead of right on top of the left/right channel speakers. Small footprint and solid build.

I have really enjoyed using the Sony Atmos speakers for UHD movies, however I recently discovered Tidals Dolby Atmos music section. The speakers really expand the soundstage of the music, giving me another reason to justify my purchase. I hope in the future more streaming services add Atmos support, the services that do sound amazing.

Good, solid construction and they sound good too. They’re clearly intended for the specific purpose of surround speakers and have a lot of included hanging hardware to make it easy. Mine are on top of an entertainment center, so I didn’t use the hardware, but who knows about the future. So it’s good to have it included.

These added to my Yamaha passive speakers added an additional level of immersive sound which merges sideways and vertically to my Atmos theatrical experience. Works with my 7.2 Pioneer Elite or even better with a 9.2 system setup.

These Atmos speakers are small but they do the job. They fit perfectly on top of my Pradigm full towers and work great in my 11 speaker 2 subwoofer home theater. They were on sale plus I had a gift card so it was a great buy.

These speakers sound really good. Clean crisp and bright when used as just stereo speakers. However the Dolby Atmos function did not wow me like other reviewers reported. I purchased these to enjoy Dolby Atmos. However, they only provide a very subtle job in giving me the sense of height sound while bouncing off my sheet rock ceiling. My living room is 14' wide 20' long and 9' ceiling. I sit about 10' back from the TV. I tried bouncing the sound in several locations with the same results. They provide the sense of height sound a tiny bit better when mounted on the wall aimed at me. The reason for my 3 stars.....My Denon X2700H provides almost the same sound without these speakers using Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization. The $200 price tag is not worth it for the extremely minor improvement in Dolby Atmos sound. However if you want some great sounding speakers in a very small form factor for other uses they are worth it. I will keep them and use them as surround back speakers or stereo speakers in another setup.

The speakers are good but the application for the speakers is pretty limited. Netflix has the most atmos videos of all the streaming services and you get atmos with 4k blu rays and some standard blu rays. Some receivers can upmix to get height information but nothing compares to a dedicated atmos track. So if you're willing to pay to get an extra sound effect that only applies to a few applications, then go for it. This is cheapest way to get atmos.

Got these open box for a steal, don’t think I would have got them @ full retail. This style of bounce atmos speaker doesn’t really sound like a proper in ceiling atmos speaker. But if you don’t want to rip your ceiling open these are pretty ok. They mostly raise the height of the sound stage. Not a stellar difference. But for the price and limitations it’s a decent set. Sony core is a hell of a bang for the buck speaker lineup.

Decent cheap alternative for Atmos. These may not give the same effect as proper atmos speakers in the ceiling, but at this price, you can’t complain. They do add some additional depth in the sound field, just temper your expectations and don’t expect to be blown away by the addition of these to your system.

Does a great job at providing the Atmos/DTS-X Experience without having to ceiling mount them. The angle of the drivers is perfect to reflect the sound off of the ceiling, and while I'm sure that they sound even better if you can ceiling mount them they are still really good if you can't.
