Perfect For Budget 5.1.2 System

Atmos didn't sound right. I didn't know I needed additional speakers. These fixed the problem. All spatial audio sounds great now!

Goes great with 7.1 speakers to make it an Atmos 9.2.2 system. Works great and helps with the immersion while playing UHD Atoms movies.

I knew instantly when the music began to flow out of them as a stereo pair (I tested them first as a 2.1 setup), that I had gotten an outstanding deal and really added some depth and reinforcement to my home theater sound system. Can’t wait for my new Yamaha RX-V6A Receiver to arrive so I can get even more noise complaints from my neighbors.

Just make sure your receiver can process height channels and if yes, these Sony speakers are seriously a great way to complete the 5.1.2 / 7.1.2.

The audio quality of these speakers is fine, nothing super fancy but height channels aren't supposed to trade blows with full range towers and speaking of towers.. you would do well not to put them on top of a tower and have it fire the audio up at your ceiling because it doesn't really reflect back and sound like a height channel... At all. However they are also easily wall mountable and come with any hardware you may need. If you mount them above the towers right and as close to the ceiling as possible then the effect is quite convincing even with just 2 if them which is impressive since height channels technically belong overhead as in in your ceiling pointing down. I ended up ordering another set of them so now I have 4 total. I mounted 1 near the ceiling over my center channel end another in the same place but behind where we sit. Then I put one (again up high) on both the left and right sides of the room.. It's even more convincing this way if your receiver can handle that many height channels. The new spiderman movie sounded amazing with height channels and so do video games and surely plenty of other things, especially if your receiver has the ability to measure spatial audio instead of just your normal flat plane speaker setup. Definitely recommend.

So I went out and bought a pair just to prove myself right and that I didn't need one. Well I was wrong this speaker is loud and clear. If you don't have them I suggest you get it. you will be missing out.

The dimensions are exact where you can place these speakers directly on top of the ones mentioned. The audio quality is really good and it can add a nice dimension of height to the sound of certain movies that take advantage of Dolby Atmos. I’m really enjoying these speakers.

They provide great sound, perform at a high standard and the rubber feet on the bottom do an amazing job at keeping the speaker still. I have these resting on floor towers, that have a sloped top and a glossy finish. These speakers do not move at all due to the rubber grips on the bottom. A small feature that ended being one of my favorite parts of these speakers.
