Before buying the Sony I tried a comparable Samsung and LG. Both were but did not have an easy and as flexible menu and selection process to correct screen size when changing between channels with differing recording processes to obtain full screen picture. Sony had a 'quick' access menu for easy change.

The picture is amazing I take it you know that already b/c you've done some googling or research but what people fail to mention is the sound on this tv is not bad for a small to medium size bedroom. I love this TV not only for the picture but bc of the android platform that the apps are running on.

Too bad the HDR is not compatible with Xbox One

The TV is great, overall. There is one important issue, though. I bought this TV with HDR specifically for playing with my Xbox One. It seems like there are different HDR standards. When I connected my Xbox One to the TV, it said the HDR was not compatible. I wish the TV and Xbox One boxes indicated the exact HDR type, so buyers would know if the HDR feature would work properly. Best Buy representatives should also warn costumers about compatibility issues.

I researched 43" TVs for several months before this purchase. Only other set in the running was the Samsung 7K series. I searched seven local Best Buys but could never find this TV and the Samsung on display in the same store for a side-by-side comparison (you listening B.B.?) When the Sony went on clearance, the $200 savings made my decision. This TV has all the right "advanced" adjustments (why I prefer Samsung - but kudos here to Sony) to get the picture "just right". I spent some (ok, quite a bit of time actually) in the advanced settings and eventually achieved a picture as good as my (calibrated) 65" Samsung. Curious to test the HDR quality over HDMI to compare picture quality. The Sony color, clarity and black levels are impressive once you find those "perfect" settings, and the return of the TRILUMINOUS display really elevates the picture over last years model. I read a lot of unhappy reviews about the sound quality, but I was able to get an acceptable/decent sound right out of the box by simply adjusting the audio settings/equalizer. I don't think this TV really "needs" a sound bar (as it's a bedroom set, remember?), but I may pick one up anyway. Again, having owned several Samsung TVs in the past, I was skeptical about going with a Sony. I was afraid I wouldn't be satisfied with the picture or the sound. Guess it was all for naught. The ONLY drawback I've found is that the picture does fade/wash out "off-angle". Not really an issue here because of my TVs location, but I caution those considering this model in a larger screen size for a living/family room with off-angle seating (>30 degrees L/R of center). I give this >4 stars; a little better than a 4, but not good enough for a 5.

This is a big increase in detail and color range from my old HD TV. Decent remote that can also control cable box. Integrated smart TV functions are quick to activate and use. Screen best viewed straight on - contrast and blacks fall off when viewed at extreme angles. Otherwise very happy with TV.

Went to Best Buy looking for a different make and model. Got very frustrated with tech overload and was walking out of the store. On the way out I noticed this TV. Started reading the specs and looking up on my phone and it had everything I was looking for, 4k, hdr, upscale capable. Low and behold I walked out with it. The only drawback, if that's fair, is all the adjustments you can and do make for color, hue etc. Excellent Tv and am super glad I bought.

This Sony does not disappoint. It takes a little getting used to the picture, because it is so clear and sharp. Movies have such depth and vibrancy that they don't look like what you are used to seeing. That is, much better!
Sound is good also, and with speakers it is excellent.
Had a minor picture issue, but a software update fixed that. Quality Sony product.

I had actually planned to buy a cheaper brand but was more expensive. The salesman showed me the advantages of this brand along with the quality. I chose this one and I'm so happy I did. The picture is beautiful and amazingly clear. It is sharp as no other TV I have. I have enjoyed watching it and will continue To ask for guidance from Best Buy employees in the future.

I read many reviews before this purchase. I wanted a new tv for my bedroom that I also use as a computer monitor. It works good for both. The only thing it lacks is a little more speed. With a lot going on in high detail you may notice a little blur. I believe unless you want to spend at least twice the money you won't find a better tv in this size!

I was looking for a slightly smaller TV and initially purchased a 32" Samsung 1080p. I am so happy i decided to upgrade to a 43" Sony 4K. The difference is substantial: the image is clearer, the colors more vibrant. Set up and mount on stand is super easy.Audio is ok. Highly recommended.

Image fantastic, but setup was not intuitive. Hardest is getting aspect ratio correct for different inputs (without affecting the rest). Overall, great TV. Sound (native, no soundbar) a bit tinny. Off-center viewing angles do lose color quality. Picture is worth all the worries. Still fiddling with settings: in the end, it will have been worth it.

We bought LG 6 series 4K TV but it was painful experience where TV restarts itself whtout reason when we use any apps pre-installed in it already. It happens every instance. Went back returned and this time, didn't wanted to take risk of going through same so I had to shell out more and get good highend TV with similar featues. Fell for SONY 4K. It has very good features and far better picture quality than LG. Couldn't be happy.

Awesome TV. Great Picture, great functionality. I love the Netflix button, the TV can be off, you hit the Netflix button, and 4 seconds later your Netflix is ready to go. Can't go wrong with this TV.

Wanting to replace my existing and comparing many TVs online, listening to friends and family I narrowed my choices to this and one other unit. Doing a side by side comparison at the store and receiving sound advice from the sales BB associate I chose the Sony. I'm vert satisfied.
