Sony 4k HDTVs are hard to beat

I was not disappointed. Outstanding picture!! The sound quality, not so much, but I did not buy this TV for its sound quality. I'll buy a sound bar to correct the audio problem. .

excellent picture quality, but volume problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this TV to replace a Samsung HD TV that developed a shadow line across the top 1/3 of the screen due to poorly built capacitors just 2 months after the one-year warranty ran out and Samsung would do nothing about it. Picture quality is excellent though there is no noticeable difference between this and an HD TV on non 4k programs, which are few and far between. The instructions were almost completely lacking and you have to feel you way through set-up, which could be difficult if you don't have wifi. Also the volume varies significantly between HD and non-HD channels and even between HD channels, which makes you constantly grab the remote to turn the volume down and up. The feature to "normalize" the volume between channels ONLY WORKS ON THE TV SPEAKERS AND DOES NOT WORK ON YOUR SOUNDBAR, and it tells you this when you try to initiate the feature. And our soundbar is a SONY! Bad planning from a company I would otherwise have though of as high quality.

Great overall 4K TV specs for smaller size

Sonys upscaling and motion technology has proved to be a great choice. Next TV will be Sony 55" with equal or better specs. The only issue is that this particular model has VA type LED screen not the best for angled viewing

Thanks. Otherwise the TV is fine.

The 43" Sony 4K Ultra HD was a great fit and has a much sharper picture. Haven't tried watching any 4K content as yet but can't wait!

Picture very sharp for straight-on viewing, however viewing of side suffers (not a problem for us). Android TV on-board gives great selection of viewing apps plus chromecast is built-in.

The 43" 4k Sony is magnificent! You can't go wrong if this is the size you want!
