Best but.. Power supply

Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this tv unless you always plan on sitting directly in front of it The viewing angle is terrible. As soon as you move sideways just beyond the edge of the screen, the facial tones begin to wash out. The tv is good otherwise, or would have given it a single star. I let this tv sit in its box 2 weeks before setting it up, thinking I had 30 days to return. Only had 14 so now am stuck with it. Very disappointed. Thought Sony was the best.

Perfect for Smaller Living Rooms

Wonderful Picture but Dead after Four Months

After using it about 1 hour a day several times a week, four months later, the TV is totally dead. Not very impressed anymore. I am a long time customer of Best Buy. I shopped at the original Best Buy Store in Roseville, MN. I will post an update on how Best Buy and Sony resolves the problem.

Get The Extended Waranty Through Best Buy

Sound systems, sound bars, Play Station,televisions, but this Sony tv has been the worst purchase I have ever made. After buying the television, it went through set up and software upgrades and never worked again. I returned the television to Best Buy the very day I purchased it. I was offered a 2 year same as cash offer if I would just take another of the same make and model. I did. But I also purchased a 5 Year Best Buy care contract. After the last update, 1 year and 4 days after the warranty expired, the smart features and the home screen are non existent and I was told it was a board that needs to be replaced. The replacement part costs $449.92. I would not recommend this tv or any other Sony brand television to anybody. And I will NEVER purchase another Sony television again.

Cannot complete setup without Android device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It turns out that without an Android device you can not complete the setup. You cannot bypass the setup 'wizard' pages and just use the TV for an input source, or get to the setup menu for a firmware update. I spent 40 minutes with Sony support chat. The TV keeps looping back to the black start page with 'SONY', and then progresses to language choice, Wifi setup (successful) or Android page before it loops back to the start. Best Buy now has the TV to fix it with the use of an Android device. A firmware update may fix it. Fingers crossed. This has happened to other customers at the Best Buy and neither Sony nor Best Buy warns customers that this TV should not be bought by customers who do not have an Android device. Is it not time to produce and App for iPhone or iPad that has the same functionality and why do we need to do a Android related setup if we only want to watch a DVD Apple TV or antenna input?

DON'T BUY

missing screws

I called the store, and they put me on endless wait; I called Sony, bounced from number to number... endless wait. It may be a good tv. I guess I won't find out. Also, what's the deal with requiring an Android device (per the other review)??? I only have Apple phones, Apple computer, Apple TV...
