It has turned on by itself at least three times since we purchased it. My husband is also NOT impressed with how long it takes to turn on when you want it on.

We're sorry to hear that the TV turns itself on and takes a while to power on. This is definitely not the experience we'd like to have. We'd love to help you troubleshoot your problem by isolating your sources and understanding your connections.
First, the TV needs a couple of minutes to initialize after the TV power cord is plugged in. The power buttons on the TV and the remote won't work during this short period of time, and the LED or illumination LED won't light up right away. This is a normal operation.

Broke after 1.25 years. No support from sony

The warranty is only one year. Poor product. Sony does not stand by it's product or believe it will last longer than a year.

I always purchase a tv by the ratings. This one was a big fat fail. As soon as I set it up and turned it on and set up everything I noticed a 6 inch round circle with a marshmallow size dot in the middle, located on the top middle screen. I did all the test and redid all the settings four times and this would not go away. Now I have to take all the time to try to unhook and put back in the box to return. I have such a stressful life that this really upsets me.

Please ensure the TV stand is securely installed. Tilting the TV is not recommended. The best viewing distance depends on the size and the display resolution of the TV. The recommended distance for comfortable viewing depends on the video or program you are watching, the viewing environment, and the physical conditions of the person watching it. When watching the TV from a suitable distance, we recommend to look away from the TV every now and then, or try watching it at a different viewing angle.
