    It’s a cheap piece of junk. The tv needs to be restarted daily due to the sound disappearing. It will not connect to Apple Airplay. Google requires mandatory location service access to track user viewing & usage.

    Failed to connect to home network

    I have to reset my Sony X80J everytime I turn it on due to failed to connect to my home network. As soon as I reset the TV it connects to my WiFi ok. This is extremely annoying. I do not recommend this TV to anyone.

    Not wall mount friendly

    I returned this TV. The tv mounting screws were so small(m4) that i couldn't find a tv wall with screws that small. I would not buy this tv if you want to mount it on the wall.

We recommend using a VESA compliant Wall mount bracket with 7 7/8 x 7 7/8 (200 x 200 mm) screw hole patterns. The length of the screw for a Wall-Mount Bracket differs depending on the Wall-Mount Bracket thickness. You can use M6 screws (10 mm – 12 mm plus the thickness of the Wall-Mount Bracket).

    With a few months using it, it showed up thin lines at the bottom, took it back to the store 'cause Sony refused to replace it or repair

Performing power reset by unplugging the TV to power for atleast 2 min and plug it back after may also help resolved issues with the TV. You may also try to unplug the devices connected to the TV and observe if these devices are causing the problem.     It took a while for me to learn how to set up the cable chamnels. The help and manuals were not as clear and helpful as they could have been. Nevertheless, once everything was set up I was very satisfied. The picture performance is excellent and the remote easy to use.

    Easy Peasy. Out of the box just follow instructions. I have an antennae for local. As soon as I figured out how to run channels auto set-up it was good to go. Run every now and then. Went from 37" to 43" and Seems much larger than last because of margins. Can see from all angles which is why I purchased this model. Great so far -- just a month.
