    This TV was not my first choice but as I already owned a Sony TV I thought it would be good. It isn't. The "smart" channels only switch on when they feel like it. The picture quality is so-so. It's not our cable reception at fault as our other Sony has a perfect picture. Do yourself a favour, choose another brand.

    Pros: Good picture Cons: Slow boot up. 2.4GHz connection, takes a long time to establish connection to WiFi, unable to download popular apps,unable to remove accounts without having to reset the whole TV

    Picture quality is excellent, but sound is not in sync with picture. Have had several people worked on tv but cannot fix the sound problem.

    This TV is not a true smart TV

    The Sony R510C is preprogrammed with several programs but they are very limited. You can not add apps like HULU or access the internet as you can with other Smart TV's. I was very disappointed at the inconvenience of receiving the TV and having to exchange it for a TV that had the features that I wanted. The sales person gave incorrect information about the TV. It is a kindergarden version of a Smart TV.

    Poor Reliablity

    Bought this TV a little over a year ago, replacing an older Samsung one. Everything was good until audio output to sound bar stopped working. Called Sony support (had me reset TV which didn't help), and was told since warranty had expired, I was on my own to have it serviced. Never had this type of problem happen to any TV that I'd either owned, and was surprised of Sony's unwillingness to extend it's warranty for another 60 days to resolve the issue. Very poor reliability and customer relationships!

    Liked the features, but after a few days I noticed a White streak on the screen. It got bigger each day. They told me it was delaminating. Took it back and got a Samsung.

    This TV only has 2 HDMI outlets. It also fails to connect through the fiber optic digital sound outlet. Do NOT recommend.

    Good But Not For Long

    I bought this television on 11/30/16 and yesterday ( 02/26/18) the volume on the TV just randomly started to increase on its own. This was a good TV with good features. The build quality of this set is what I find to be the only negative. I only buy SONY T.V.'s but i am now reconsidering that. A T.V. should last more than 15 months!

    Got a bonus @ work...Spent over $1150 @ best buy. This was like $500 or 600 of it... Didn't last but 2 years and one month and is now full of lines. Geek squad wants $200 plus the cost of a new board to repair it. No thank you! Will not buy another Sony. My 13 year old vizio is still going!

    This was a Christmas present for my son. The picture was horrible and the corner of the screen had an halo effect where you couldn't see the picture at all. Returning it immediately! What a disappointment!

    Tv is very slow I have another smart TV from other brands and none like this. I had some inconveniences with it and I talked to customer service and they did not ask me to help.

    The "smart" menu is restrictive and hard to use. It doesn't allow me to search for channels that I have on my Roku, or on my computer. I did more with my old TV and a Roku 2.

    Just bought Samsung TV,s for bedrooms , and gave in and bought this Sony for guest room and you have to turn the volume up to 60 before you can hear it !
