TV advertised as 3D falsely. I would like to return it and was told that I could, without a restocking fee. The TV works perfectly but doesn't satisfy the 3D requirement that I want. I am approaching 70 years old and do not want to return this product because I don't think I can package it up the way it came and could cause a problem for its next owner. So, I probably will keep it.

The screen from the beginning didn't seem right! Football players were fuzzy looking, HD was ok but my old TV looked better, even on SD. I then realized the screen wasn't synced up correctly (it took me long enough)! I took the TV back on the last day and got a QLED (AGAIN), I was hoping for the new tech for TV's to be better but I'll have to wait this TV goes bad on me! I had photos of this bad visual look, like, on the right side, along edge, you could see the different layer of color, figures had like a halo fuzziness around them, but I guess I deleted them.

I have had bad experiences with Sony in the past with their products not lasting beyond their warranty period so I purchased this TV to give them a try again. When I opened the box I noticed the screen was cracked, such a shame, I don't know why Sony, LG, and Samsung take better care in packing their TV's, the OLED is so flimsy and fragile, would like to see that they use better materials to make them stronger, couldn't even turn it on to give a review on the picture, soory.

The TV I bought had some missing parts and I understand that’s why it was discounted. However, the associate helping me did not explain what the return and exchange policies are. It also took a long time for an associate to ask me if I needed help or was looking to purchase.

The TV, which arrived new this afternoon, simply will not turn on out of the box no matter what steps I take or whatever good electrical outlet I plug it into. No one at Sony or Best Buy is available to deal with this apparently defective, yet expensive product. Completely unacceptable.

    Sony 48-inch Bravia OLED review

I have had this tv for several months and have not been disappointed in any way. I bought it because it was an OLED and the colors and picture are great. I think Sony has lived up to its name in this tv. It is a little higher than others but I think it is worth it. If you can get it on sale, please do, but if you must pay full price, I think you will find it worth the price.

Purchased this unit and then a couple weeks later Best Buy advertises it for 100.00 less than I paid. Can’t get any help on a discount. Been buying for years from these guys. Disappointed!

OLED the best at this time.

One beautiful picture. Black levels are gorgeous! OLED is the best for my money. I am a Camera Shader for NBC and MLB and and we use OLED Broadcast Sony monitors for Camera matching. True to color, full black levels, and able to produce 14 f stops of a broadcast video camera and easy on the eyes during a 10-12 hr day. Just watched the new Matrix movie on Apple TV 4K HDR Dolby Vision. Oh my God!! I have a small TV room and the 48in was perfect and hard to find. This XBR replaced another Sony XBR HD 40in from 2005. It was still in perfect condition but was only 1080I and Apple TV wanted 1080p or else you watching 720p. It was time to upgrade!

    A Great TV

A great Android TV. Sharp picture. Good sound. Netflix button. TV button. Ease of use. Quality built down to the remote. The stand's heavy and low and flushes with table it sits on. That's definitely a better design.

    Outstanding Replacement Sony

I replaced a 40" Sony in our relatively small 12'X16' family room. The 12yr old 40 is now in the bedroom still working as well as it did when new. Our TV "stand" is in a corner of in the room. It requires a large central base. The new Sony has a very large sturdy base. The 48" is about as large as the space allows. The TV itself is fantastic. Picture quality is beautiful, appreciably better than the old set. Colors and black and white are more vivid, the sound is excellent. While I wasn't really looking for a new set, when I saw Best Buys price of $799.99 for a set that listed for $1799 two years ago I was sold, especially after researching other professional reviews.

Good TV for watching my movies. Brightness is good even in bright room. This TV is not made for the next gen gaming consoles nor PC. HDMI port #3 is e-arc and turned on enhanced mode for consoles but 4K@60hz is the maximum you can get, or switch to 1080p @ 120hz which is still okay. No HDMI 2.1, VRR, etc on this model just a FYI.

This TV was the best size for our cabinet space and connected easily with our receiver entertainment system. Picture is quite nice and the TV adjustment options enabled me to do minor tweaks.

lg c2 wins for pic quality, havnt tested the a9k

i compared the lg c1 an c2 with the sony a9s an i prefered the lg over the sony picture. they say sony has the best processor for best pic but the c1 an c2 had the better pic. a9s is a 2020 model but the c1 is a 2017 model. the a9k 2022 model i havnt tested yet, its got a better processor than the a9s an uses google operating system instead the android in the a9s. i noticed also the analog channels had much more noise than the lg models above. that said im sending this a9s back. i thought the sony was the better tv but its not. maybe the a9k might be but not sure if im going to cmpare it to the lg tvs i got. the c2 has a better pic than the c1. more detail in the face. the whites an blks are the same if you adjust them out. out the box factory setting the c2 wins for picture but i got it looking better with some fine tuning.
